Hi guys is there a way to have Market Enabler to work on Acer A500?

I mean i did change the thing to verizon and all but it just doesn't zeem to work. I can't down,oad skype foer example.

the new casing is far more .... "efficient" in design, I should say. Even the dock part is left exposed, so that at least there's an option.

It may be my wishlist but I do hope that Acer remodel their keyboard docks to have battery charge too.

Here's a trick.

Download acer recovery tool.
Then flash clockworkmod as yourbaseby selecting "select recovery image." Make sure clockworkmod is selected first. You should then click reboot into clockworkmod. That should do thetrick

that depends on what kind of custom ROM you're using!

hi guys, i've got an issue here.

i'm on virtuous picasso 3.1 (v1.1.10) base kernel unity v5

after a month long not touching the device (charger got stolen) i finally booted it up. Updated an entire library of apps, probably 150 in total....

and then found out that my SDCARD and USB is unusable.

i went to CWM (acer recovery tool) that uses itsmagic. when i tried to load from SDCARD it says "E:/SDCard is not found" or something similar to that.

for some weird reason i only had a downloaded version of US based GEN 3.0 stock honeycomb in the recovery.


should I

1) force downgrade to 3.0?
2) sent it in for warranty?


USB and SDCARD just won't load.

or any other avenues that i should pursue?

will attempt to have round 2 by 3pm later. feedback very much appreciated.

update: it seems that because i swapped the SD card, it gives an error of which it reads the PREVIOUS card.


the uncanny solution: apply a little pressure on the backside of the tablet where the sd card slot is. then open manager. voila. now detected.

if you have honeycomb 3.0 or 3.01, easy. anything later is much harder

if you're looking for Jelly Bean ROM, its time to go for CyanogenMOD or Thor.


THor has very good reputation for continuing to build very high standards of Acer A500 ROMs.

As for me, I'm using "JellyTime" ROM, an offshoot of CM10's ROM.

You'll need to install / flash gapps (google apps and protocols) independently, but I am enjoying JellyTime's JB.
