Took the plunge today.. got the Nikkor 35mm f1.8. Mount it on the NEX-5 with a Coyo Adapter.

Hmm..using this, i actually don't miss the Zoom at all, since 35mm is actually 52.5mm already. Overall in low light, it's brighter so I was able to use faster shutter than the kit.

About this COyo adapter, it's frankly slightly loose on the contact with the Nikkor lens and i am thinking to bring this adapter back to the shop, see if other stocks can fit better. However,It's a perfect fit to the body e-mount .

Aperture can be controlled, but it is 'smooth' and continuous. err.. no step by step jump as you would get with the other lenses. There is no Aperture window on the lens either, so won't be able to tell exactly the aperture used.

So far the images are good, some even sharper than the kit.

Good news!

Sony called me up today to let me know that the EVF will be in stock in 2 weeks time. He also told me that the body only and 1855 only kit will be available next week!
