Definitely will be expensive... but think about! If got a mirror there, will get PDAF!

Of course, quite strange also that they are putting a mirror into their mirrorless camera... haha. If this is really true, I'll hold out on buying the LA-EA1 and wait for this instead In the meantime play with laoya cheap cheap third party adapter.

The On / Off is rotation switch probably, with shutter on top. The small button (7), they have no idea what it is.

Yeah, very disappointed in that. Had to go on eBay and purchase my own rear caps and body caps. Lucky it's cheap... about RM10 per piece.

Only place I have seen this is on eBay... about RM50 I think? Thought of ordering one myself. Check out the eBay posting here...

Yes, I hope that's not true. Hope it's just a miscommunication on the rumor, and a firmware upgrade will allow the older models to use the new viewfinder.

Depends on what you are using for. Different ND ratings for different lighting conditions. The variable NDs are great because they normally cover from ND2 up to ND400, so no need to pack several filters. If you're getting a screw-in filter, go for the variable ones for flexibility. One thing to avoid for ND screw in filters are ND grads, where it goes from dark to light. ND Grads you should get a slot-in system like Cokin. This way, you can adjust where you want the gradation to fall off, instead of being stuck in place by the screw-in.

Taking slow shutter during daytime will need a lot of experimentation to find out how many stops you need, but once you're experienced you can calculate the exposure in your head!

Body only at 600USD.. about RM1800. Was thinking of getting the 5N, but now with the complete news of the NEX-7... gonna save up that RM3500!!! Anybody interested in used NEX-5 Body?

Ooo, thanks idoblu, no idea how I missed that. Maybe I did, but totally forgot after having my mind blown by the NEX-7

Some thoughts on 5N and 7:

After some poking around, I think I would rather get the 5N instead of the 7 now. I can live without the EVF, as I've gotten very used to shooting with the NEX-5 LCD + hood. I lose the 2 customization dials, but there's a touchscreen to make up for it. AE-L is a nice thing to have, but I find myself shooting in Manual settings quite a bit. Quality wise, I can't say anything for now until we get some real RAW pictures. Right now, a lot of people are basing JPEG IQ on the A77, as they share the same sensor. Hopefully when the production units with production firmware is out, we'll get to find out the truth. On the 5N side, they say the sensor is a tweaked version of the C3, and better even. We all know how lovely images are on the C3.

The hotshoe is a hotshoe is a hotshoe. I don't see myself mounting a Cobra on the 7.

But I do see myself getting a LA-EA2 and messing around with it Imagine a 5N with the external EVF + LA-EA2 + Battery Grip

Bottomline: Do you really need to shoot at 24MP, use an EVF, and a hotshoe?

Yeah, EVF accessory is really overpriced as usual. I would rather fork out the amount of cash for the 50F18, and still have RM300 left for other things. "Hopefully", some capitalist minds would be able to reverse engineer the EVF and release a 3rd party version
