anyone root their phones bought from digi using gingerbreak? asking cause i don't know whether it works on digi retail unit or not

sorry it's not digi, it's one of the digi retail shops that also sells individual phones. i got the wrong info haha and totally forgot digi doesn't have this phone

got so many rooting guides at FP, it's quite confusing, which one is the most straight forward and reliable? I'm not a noob but every brand has some difference in rooting, they are all similar but all have some differences. Plus this is my first time rooting a samsung, previous tried HTC and LG

there's no need to worry, i tried deleting mine of some 3 smses thread in stock firmware (ZSKF4, HK stock rom CF-rooted), no delay whatsoever..

the battery is really good in KF1.. i use the phone as i alwasy do with 3G on, and sometimes wifi on (without switching off the 3G).. previously with KE2 / KE7 the best it got is 21 hours, but now it goes up to 30 hours~!

not quite 30hrs as you have charged it in between.
but yeah, the KFx series seems to have better battery consumption than before.
i'm on KF4 stock, and i believe your observation can be reproduced, albeit with memory optimizer, task killers used..

i get 30 hours also and around 30% to spare with XKF2 and villainrom

me on XKF2 and villainrom also, must try one time fully charge till 100% only can test...

mind share your usage? got youtube/games/surfing how many hours within that 30 hours? thanks..

just found out that the CISCO VPN AnyConnect is still not avaialble as a built-in capability.

I am using Villain 1.3 (ZFKF4). battery is good, can last me more than a day based on my daily usage below:

1. 2G
2. Company Exchange
3. Gmail
4. Whatsapp
5. Gtalk
6. Some SMS
7. Some voice call
8. and ETC

what i like most about ZFKF4 is, i can search contact at dial pad easily. I dont find the same feature on other roms. Hence i will stick to ZFKF4.
