gonna need root as google navigation / google maps are considered system app, you will need root to remove the old one, and replace back with the hacked one.

there's no need to worry, i tried deleting mine of some 3 smses thread in stock firmware (ZSKF4, HK stock rom CF-rooted), no delay whatsoever..

not quite 30hrs as you have charged it in between.
but yeah, the KFx series seems to have better battery consumption than before.
i'm on KF4 stock, and i believe your observation can be reproduced, albeit with memory optimizer, task killers used..

there's in fact green spot problem that much less ppl speak of.
i notices it shooting a whiteboard with indoor fluorescent lighting.

i did went thru a round of the official camera firmware update thru "Samsung apps" before i start noticing it, probably over compensating causes the green spot.
still notice pink spot from time to time under low light condition, not frequent though.
