Yea.... It's not good to say we don't need fast or this or that; This give the feedback and impression to the company that the users don't need it. So, why bother giving the users something new or good? Just chunk it some old cheap hardware, make money out of it, the users are still happy about it and say they don't need it.

Hoenstly speaking, many OS also don't need fast CPU, who needs dual core? But, if have a choice, will the user say NO?
If user's paying the SAME money, I doubt the user will take the single core?
It's just like the trend in auto industry now with the japanese rivals offering lower striped down, cheap specs at crazy high price; The supporters remains loyal and say they don't need the extra airbags, etc. In other countries, the japanese rivals are offering far better specs at far lower price; Not to mention, the japanese rivals here are big companies, selling at large volumes, etc.

Anyway, just saying; If it's not good, then say it's not good; If not wrong or bad to say it's not good; There's something called positive feedback/criticism. The manufacturer/company need to know that they need to provide a better spec/hardware and so on.

That's what I said from the start, too many fruit style. No homescreen, any smartphone OS have no homescreen?
The "switch" is iOS style?
The background colour (grey-white), totally no relatation with it's parents or sibling or relatives (Symbian), it feels more iOS-ish.

Everyone want high spec hardware.Heck even I want quad core processor & 2GB RAM to run with this OS.
But with the nature of this OS which always used as experiment by Nokia,potential buyers need to accept the dated hardware.
So only hope they have is to expect the OS to run the application without hitch with these hardware.
Slightly lower price could also help sell this device.

But for WP7 device Nokia need to have the very best of hardwares.Any rubbish like ARM11 680MHz then Eldar will have a field day on this.

dual core would be most welcome but single core actually more than enough.but the graphic processor is the problem.530 is definitely not powerful enough.

If Nokia start selling this I'll order immediately.
Screw beta class OS,no software support & no warranty whatsoever(I've experienced all this with my N900 & I'm still using it)
Excellent physical keyboard & interesting OS is enough to temp me.

The Android Nexus devices can do the same thing also right?
In fact I think almost all developers device in each platform should be able to do this.

What's N8 first launch price last year? I presume the original price is now around RM1250 - 1300?

With the launch of N9, I really do hope the N8 goes down to RM1000 and I will get one.

If you're buying the phone just because of the camera then it's not worth it.
That money could be well be spend on proper camera.

Don't dream of RMVB support. Nobody willing to pay royalty fee. I still haven't try using iPad2 dual processor see whether or not it can soft decode smoothly. Tried on Hummingbird really laggy.

Nokia did make a nice move by using Broadcom chip but even that won't support RMVB, only WMV (popular format for xxx). Sadly, the file system limitation require you to download lower bitrate or convert your current media collection.

As for Meego, Nokia alone is just not enough. This is not about Nokia or Meego. Even if Nokia don't kill Meego, you don't know if they will be throwing bodies behind the project as well as funds needed to further enhance it. Give it a year and if you ain't seeing much apps for it, then fate sealed.
