If you want to based on comparison, price based, i don't think it's damn cheap anyway.

45cents x 104 = RM46.80

Elitekeyboards.com Ring Softlanding Pad 120 piece = 12 USD

12 USD x 3.2 = RM38.40

Well, if shipping fee is removed, i think softlanding pad are worth much more.

But based on your digit 45cent per piece, which is a rough digit... maybe got 30cents? tongue.gif tongue.gif , hmm.... hmm.gif hmm.gif

agreed, not much users would download and view the pictures, troublesome plus scare of virus.

using imagehack or photobucket or attaching the picture under your post is much more preferable.

got such thing?
i think first ppl need to learn how to touch type.
point of mech kbs is that u only need a very light touch to activate the key, no need to bottom it out like membrane keyboards.

I think it will sure change the feel if you are the type that like to fully press down a key. Most ppl which like Cherry Switch over scissor switches because they prefer the long travel(4mm) of Cherry Switch over short(<2.5mm) of scissor switch.

However if you are the type of users which only press halfway, i think it wont affect you much(you dont even need for it, LOL).

I know, but you saying that mechanical keyboard's point is a light touch to actuate keys, which is not necessary true.

k lets play facts.
from the keys u listed...
cherry black actuation 2mm.
cherry clear actuation 2mm.
buckling spring actuation 2.3mm.

obviously meaning when it reaches that distance, the key will activate.
so u do not need to bottom it out all the way to 4mm which is how far it travels.
ie. once u learn how to touch type, u will start bottoming keys out less, and increase speed.

Just switching from membrane keyboard, still keep bottom out when typing.. sweat.gif
(at the same time still use membrane keyboard at office..unless change the office to mech. keyboard as well then will use to it faster? hmm.gif )

Somehow i felt what Everdying says is right :S i don't really bottom out the whole key to type, even on a membrane keyboard.

But still it doesn't matter... we buy mechanical keyboard for its solid built quality, unique switches.

I touch type, but I still bottom out a lot especially on Topre switches.
It's a personal preference thing, this whole thing about bottoming or not. The fun part is the feeling your fingers get when you are using these keyboards, that is the most important consideration in using Mech Keyboards.

Anyways, the RnD guy from CM, battlesheep confirmed this at GH. That the CM storm

actually i think its a modified costar reference design, which is what filco uses as well

So the build quality should be the same as FILCO since the same people made them.

it is highly possible if you have the knowledge of soldering.
