I think most of them are using U3. I am considering one too..

Does the cooling effect differ veri much from using U3 ?

I think it'll make much difference when you are gaming as the left palm rest can get quite warm during gaming. I'm currently using notepal infinite and although it has one fan only, I still can feel the difference when gaming with and without it.

the best is setting the coolsense to 'coolest'

my temperature playing crysis with u3 and coolest mode, still so high wan?? nt even half and hour.

Which value do u see ?? Value , min or max ?? If max is 93 degrees , it does not mean that the laptop is in 93 degrees right ??

Anyway, I'll get the U3 when I go to a computer shop ! Even before i receive my laptop yet lol .

dota max 90°c in coolest mode+u3? maybe you didnt reset the temperature reading..

i never got more then 85°c even when playing FPS..which definately more stressful to the cpu then dota..

must be something is not right

Err..i only get 60+ when playing dota wif a lousy cooler pad (thermal master C1) and never exceed 70+ as u noe dota is not so intensive..

never actually touched 90c; 88c the most but i think according to the video posted a few pages back, I think my laptop can push more juice while hitting the 90c ceiling as stated in the video.

i use U3 and reached 80 when watching 2 hours of youtube and video (High Performance)

i use U3 and reached 88 when 1 hours of HON (High Performance)


i use U3 and reached 65+ when watching 2 hours of youtube and video (HP Recommended)

i use U3 and reached 70+ when 1 hours of HON (HP Recommended)

i can see the from openhardwaremonitor that my processor speed and gpu speed is running at max all the time while in high performance and only moderate while using HR Recommended.

both setting have been running with U3 max speed + coolest setting + core parking 100%

*i left my dota at my hometown, going to try dota when back to hometown*
*drill will be added when i am with my laptop*

Dont worry bro, i already bought my cooler U2(coz U3 is too large for me >.<), my wireless mouse and my earplugs 2 weeks after i ordered... just now received call from HP guy saying will be delivered to me by tomorrow... hmm.... but yesterday only i call the service representative and she told me it will only be delivered to me by "early next week"...
So now im still abit
But nevertheless, would absolutely be happier if they deliver ALL of it by tomorrow

Guys, I am still confused. Do you look at the Value point , or the Maximum point? Do we not look at value point since that is the current temp ? Sorry but its a bit misleading LOL need a fairly good comparison.

@rurushu , yeah I am a bit worried U3 is big, but wouldnt the dimension of length on the DV6 longer than the length in U2 ??
Please let me know when ur DV6 arrive maybe can take a pic and show us the DV6 on the U2. For those who have U3 with DV6 can share pic also. Might help in the first page

^The one u show is Hp pavilion 6001tx with manual switching..6114tx is auto switching...
