I got my UOB Card last month.Never activate the card.Suddenly CC statement send to me charged $50 GST.Why do they charge the GST to me coz i never activated the card.

Govt will charge no matter activated the card or not. RM50 GST already charged once u success applied for CC

It seems that there's no more automatic waiver of Annual Fee (not GST).

Last time u swipe x no. of times a year and/or spend min. RMx a year u get automatic waiver, but now no more.

ask for it then. dont give then tell them straight away that you want to cancel it. they will then offer you 5 years waiver without any condition

Yes, they only will give on verbal.

gst also give, this one at no cost to them, sure easily waived. i actually asked bout gst, then they offered this 5 years AF waived as well. i did not see any AF charged to my card even i seldom used it

But, are you high spend? I was thinking on it whehter this is only applicable for high spender or not

don't know can get this offer or not if only use few swipe for a month

i use few swipes only in the whole year, less than 1k also can get GST rebate. what do you think?

Yes, 5% Cash Rebate in All Petrol Station with NO Minimum Spend Requirement...

For the Cash Rebate of petrol, the maximum Cash Rebate awarded for purchases made by the principal and supplementary Cardmembers shall be capped at RM600 for UOB ONE Platinum & RM400 for UOB ONE Classic card per month.

1. The following Cash Rebates are awarded for any spend using the UOB ONE Card in the following
categories below:
a. 5% Cash Rebate on all spending on petrol;
Note: For the rebate category of petrol, the maximum Cash Rebate awarded for purchases made
by the principal and supplementary Cardmembers shall be capped at RM500 for UOB ONE
Platinum card and RM300 for UOB ONE Classic card per month.
b. 5% Cash Rebate on all spending at Golden Screen Cinemas (“GSC”) ticket counters for purchase
of movie tickets;
c. 2% Cash Rebate on all spending in Guardian, Caring Pharmacy and Watsons pharmacies;
d. 2% Cash Rebate on all spending on groceries at Aeon Big, Tesco, Cold Storage, Pasar Raya
Jaya Grocer and Giant;
Note: For the rebate category of groceries, the maximum Cash Rebate awarded for purchases
made by the principal and supplementary Cardmembers shall be capped at RM1,500 for UOB
ONE Platinum card and RM1,000 for UOB ONE Classic card per month.
e. 2% Cash Rebate on all payments made to all major mobile service providers (Maxis, Digi and
Celcom);
Note: For the rebate category of telecommunication, the maximum Cash Rebate awarded for
payments made by the principal and supplementary Cardmembers shall be capped at RM300 for
UOB ONE Platinum card and RM200 for UOB ONE Classic card per month.
f. 0.3% Cash Rebate on all other spending.

Damn, if so I've been conned into applying as I thought all online transaction will have the CB.

ADD : and need to pay RM6 if don't have any transaction that month? How come I don't see that in the TnC

no minimum spend to qualify for the cash rebate as i know. yes, you need to have at least 1 transaction per month, i think is calendar month
