In Gunung Pulai now TV1 and TV2 went blank for a while before showing Closedown slide, NTV7 is now showing closure message after final close down, 8TV will be the last to go at 2am.

Blank? Oh? At Bkt Sg Besi here, it's still showing the same ASO message for both TV1 and TV2.

8TV had finally shown this.
Finally, all analog TV signals from Gunung Pulai (and in general, Central and Southern region of Malaysia) had shut down and replaced by a closedown slide for all channels..

It's confirmed: 8TV on Bkt Sg Besi has closedown and now showing ASO message.

In detail, after national anthem, screen went blank for few seconds, then ASO message, then suddenly show colour bar for 1-2 sec, then the ASO message reappear as what you see now.

Good bye, analogue.

Meanwhile the 8TV at Gn Ulu Kali shows colour bar for 1-2 mins. Then it went completely off air, like daily midnight closedown.



Right now at Gn Ulu Kali transmitter, TV1, TV2 are the only analogue channel on air showing regular programmes, TV3 off air, NTV7 test card as usual, 8TV off air, TV9 colour bar.

Well, seems that for Ulu Kali transmitter to go off air completely, got to wait till 14 Oct for Northern and East Coast Region ASO date, which most likely would be 15 Oct around 12.30am similar like Central and Southern Region.

English Translation:

only tv9 still broadcasting today, tv1-tv2 aso ads, tv3, 8tv, ntv7 test screen.

Probably not as bad as you expect. People that doesn't switch are just too old to care about the details (just assume something wrong witht their tv itself) . Even if there are laggards caught in this transition someone will come to help them long before their complains reaches you. There are thing called society.

Anyone in Penang/Butterworth area has TV2 missing from MyFreeView Channel?

Just happened today, TV2 and the radio Channels missing, rerun auto tuning cannot solve the issue, just found 9 channels, used to be around 15 channels..

OK now, able to get 14 TV channels + 6 radio channels.

guys i am staying in double storey house and i don't feel like paying 200 for that mcmc approved box...is there any other cheaper alternative and will the existing rooftop antenna work?

Nope, still in SD.

Astro own channels also not fully HD..
They want to broadcast Media Prima & RTM channels in HD? and incurred additional cost when they inself are cutting cost wherever possible...
