Yeah... Digital TV uses UHF frequency, that's why you need a UHF antenna.
That VHF antenna can either throw away or keep in store room as your childhood memories.

better invest in proper digital/uhf antenna coz analog is going to end soon anyway unless u want to go for astro/njoi route

Hi guys,

I'm from Kajang and have been able to get all channels however for 1 week I'm not able to get any RTM channels, any idea? Signal is able to receive all other channels except all RTm channels including radio.

Edit: it's ok guys, looks like I had to manually scan RTM channels.all good now, stranger why auto didn't pick up any RTM channels.

Nine times of of ten the coax is only suitable for VHF too (if it is not already rotted or full of water), there may also be a VHF only distribution amplifier

no chance. because the wavelength of UHF is smaller than VHF. That's why the antenna element is smaller too. The size of the element depends on the wavelength. That's the basic of radio antenna design.

Anyone from Perak manage to get any DTV signal? (as of today) Just went back to hometown today and cant get any signal. Previously still can get.

No issue here geting signal from Gunung Kledang..

I DIY my Astro cable to become uhf antenna,able to get good quality with all channel even though signal weak.

Seriously yes, the Go Shop channel from Astro, is now on digital TV.


If your digital TV box or IDTV didn't manage to detect this new channel, or unable to auto update channel list, you can perform manual search on MUX 1 frequency (666MHz for Klang Valley area),
or perform Auto Search if you don't know what I'm talking about, but still want to receive this channel.
