test: 6 HD channels, 7 radio channels

Where did you live? I can't receive the said "6 HD + 7 Radio" channels in test transmission in my area for now. Maybe I need to rescan my receiver at night to see if the transmission is available?

But the addition of the second DTT multiplex from MYTV will also mean that retuning will be required after switchover to clear up 700MHz band.

Did a rescan earlier, now it's gone.

Everytime when it rains, always get "E025-No Signal". Is this normal?

It's not. Are you using indoor or outdoor antenna?

I'm using outdoor antenna

Where are you located? What is your signal strength and quality like in normal conditions?

Ipoh. The strength is 96% and quality is 100%. My parents is using the MyTV decoder.

Ipoh - whereabouts? Need more detail - what kind of external antenna?

8TV recently changed their on screen graphic colour from orange (the colour used for word 8TV, which they long use as their on screen graphic) to magneta (the colour used for word 八度空間) when they changed their ident package. (It seems that they only uses magneta colour ONLY when they changed the ident package, both orange and magneta colours was in use in the past.)

However, they do not bother broadcast programme classification in proper 16:9 mode. Although the ident package is produced in HD quality, it is aired in SD letterbox mode.
Note that the picture looks much sharper (in 720p) when a programme Media Prima sourced in native HD is in broadcast from their highest bitrate they use to stream video on tonton (1800kbps).

Update : It seems that the on screen graphic during CJ WOW SHOP block is still in orange colour.

Previously I use unknown brand digital box to receive Singapore channel and the signal quality is bad with box appear here and there or total signal lost.

Now using new TV digital tune (no box required anymore) and all channel from Singapore and Malaysia is 10/10 signal quality and no appear any signal lost and boxes. I didn't touch my antenna and it still just hang outside from my room window. Very thanks to Panasonic TV digital signal quality and signal strength.

By the way Malaysia digital tv is so poor from MyTV and that stupid MyFreeview logo still there and only two channel in 16:9 and the HD channel is no way near the quality broadcast from Singapore channel at all.

Senai area.

Singapore channel only superb clear at Senai and Johor Bahru area.

Well u cannot compare with Singapore..
They more better in planning.. Also not in the cheapskate in budgets for digital TV.. They use the best bandwidth for broadcast unlike in Malaysia..

And also the testing is still going on time to time..

I think at least they should do more on 16:9 instead of 4:3. For example Tonton TV can do nicely streaming on 8TV at ratio 16:9, why not This MyTV. Haha!

Also those label is not required. I believe now no longer in testing period because only left TV3 HD mentioned in testing not others channel.
