Guys, I have an idea on the package plan, but dono whether its really a efficient 1 or not..

As you guys know, we have "Yes" broadband, and one of the good thing of getting yes broadband is you can access to 3G without using sim card, but using their own device called "Huddle".

Now my situation is, my Maxis line for now is supp from my mom's principle family plan. And if I want to make my number into individual principle line, my mom need to go to Maxis centre with me to make the transaction. Thus, I have come out the idea where I continue with my current line n number, but subscribe a Yes package with Huddle so I can online like using 3G connection, what you guys think about this?

Is this method really work? Need you guys opinion, thanks!

Definately. The YES huddle with your YES I'd n password will be your wifi hotspot. 4 other users can connect to it too provided they know your password
You have to check whether the places you frquent has coverage or not. If there is the download speeds is amazing, 3-5 x faster than normal wifi hotspot, 4-6x faster than 3g
Minimum is rm30/month. They have data plans for heavier users
The huddle gets extremely hot I figure in 50 degree range. Can feel obvious hotness on hand. Battery life on huddle is 5 hours

can work, right now i am also using this method, but a bit different.... i use a MIFI (huawei e585) using a celcom broadband plan. phone is also on celcom heheh

may seem weird why i dont just combine, but i want to also be able to share with my netbook without finishing the battery on my phone and also because the data plan i got was only rm50

and no YES coverage here if not i would go for that one sad.gif

just dropped by to say i'm fine and wow, this place is a mess.
so hi there all sgs2 users, are you satisfied with your new gadget ?

allow me to break some news to all of you before i get tied down again.
there is a newer more powerful galaxy series smart mobile in the works and development is so far going pretty smooth. there is no name at the moment only a code batch number which i got. i got a sneak preview of it though it is still very much incomplete. there are plans to rename this new range of smart mobiles and all is being in discussion. for now i can tell you that the screen has the ability to flex but i still don't see any pictures or graphics on it.

will keep all of you updated as much as possible and meanwhile for those who are thinking to wait and adopt this instead of the current sgs2, happy waiting another 14 months.
*
wow..nice news..but,does it need to be flexible? hmm.gif
or it is book phone? biggrin.gif

i've no experience with jig but i'm sure some bros out here will be able to assist you. As for the rests of android stuff, you can ask around but pretty much the general stuff is covered by uncle benny on his sticky post~!

Power off, plug-in the jig. The phone will boot into download mode + clearing the ROM flash counter, switch your whatever ROM status to Samsung Official ROM and remove the triangle.

QUOTE(benny888 @ Jun 20 2011, 07:34 AM)
I have been testing roms from Cognito, TK, Angelo, villian to find the best for battery life. All these roms not much difference in performance. I have not tested litening as quite several users reported bad battery life. However I was surprised litening 1.4 gives me best to date
On the other roms including several official fw, on standby Overnight ( midnite till 7am ) with active update, refresh data ( 3 mail accounts every 15 mins, tweeter, several news feed every 30min and 60 min) the drop is usually in the range of 25 to 30%.  Litening 1.4 i noted was just less than 10%
Day use I do not really monitor as phone always on charge on desk or in car
*
So far i have not tested other roms you mentioned so i cant really give any comparison. Simply comparing it with stock rom, i think the litening is way smoother running Go Launcher. So far, i m getting 8 hours of medium usage (2 push mails, FB, whatsapp and 30 mins surfing) with 62% juice remaining for today. For me, as long as the phone can last a good 10 hours, i m fine with it.... can always charge it when i m home.

Anyway benny, since u seem to be very well versed with smartphones, would you be kind enough to look into one issue i m facing? Upon check the battery status, it shows that the Android OS is taking up 33%. Is it normal? Thanks in advance.
