QUOTE(faizalmzain @ Jun 18 2011, 10:48 PM) thats a very wrong analogy. smartphone without data plan is still functional, but car without fuel isnt. A better one is to say smartphone without battery, Without data plan is without constant access to some of great apps' feature only. if you into offline gaming like angry birds a lot and doest care about Whatsapp or Foursquare, you're good without data plan. |

QUOTE(Sherry86 @ Jun 18 2011, 10:40 PM) I can't help but do this my suggestion if user on pre paid..you can always subscribe temporary periodic data plan (i.e weekly or daily),i'm using celcom n subscribe data plan weekly@RM18 with 2GB data.it's great deal at least for me....If you can tahan to just use wifi then by all means, stick to prepaid. Prepaid or post, doesn't matter. QUOTE(mydragoon @ Jun 18 2011, 10:54 PM) |

QUOTE(sai86 @ Jun 18 2011, 10:55 PM) +1 Disable push notification? IF u got few apps with that feature you ll be very cumbersome in disabling one by one. For those without data plan, just disable it at Wireless Network there.still u can use these apps, but on wifi, so gotta disable push notification if u r out of wifi area. if not, charge u gps $$ like hell? am i correct? |

Spotted a shop (ttart in Parkson Megamall) yesterday in Miri, Sarawak selling i9103 with super lcd. Can't confirm whether they're selling this unit yet as I just saw the dummy set.
Will head over to another shopping mall to check it tomorrow. They have another franchise in Boulevard. |

QUOTE(silrave @ Jun 18 2011, 11:34 PM) i am curious I use Celcom postpaid unlimited data plan on my SGS II while the Digi is prepaid on my Tabwanna ask that most of all user here are using what plan for sgs2 so far know uncle benny is celcom n digi maxis i worry over charge not sure umobile 68 unlimited internet and digi smart plan 68 got what difference lol At my place the Maxis service/coverage is not good - even Digi on Edge download is faster than Maxis 3G I gave up Maxis finally because on the highway from Johor up to Ipoh, I face constant disconnection on 3G ; same problem after changing simcard. Digi was excellent and best of all is so much cheaper than Maxis Maxis overcharge stories are quite common - just need to be careful and monitor your data usage using apps - my favorite 3G Watchdog and Data Counter Widget : it is quite accurate as I always compare it with my monthly Celcom bills |

QUOTE(silrave @ Jun 18 2011, 11:34 PM) i am curious I believe, normal user should have DiGi unlimited for only 68 per month. Good coverage and better than Maxis. If you are always on call and need unlimited data, you can go for P150 from Celcom. You get 2000 minutes free call (if I not mistaken) and a lot of free sms. Also, unlimited data but you will pay more than DiGi lo.wanna ask that most of all user here are using what plan for sgs2 so far know uncle benny is celcom n digi maxis i worry over charge not sure umobile 68 unlimited internet and digi smart plan 68 got what difference lol Maxis is very common with overcharging. Not very advisable |

For those who choose not to use a Screen Protector, this might be a good product to use. According to a few reviews i've seen, it gets rid of oil and smudges easily and will give a coating that prevents fingerprints and repels dust (because of the anti-static properties). Thinking of getting it but need to get it from ebay.

QUOTE(Shinichi @ Jun 18 2011, 07:26 PM) Hi all, I'm curious if there's any difference in specs between Malaysia set and Singapore set? As much as I would like to believe it was merely the play of currency conversion,MY RRP = RM2099, SG RRP = $998 (after convert around RM2400+) I am MORE willing to believe that the RM300+ is for the NFC chip & the battery with antenna, plus a bit more of accessories. What say you?? |
