Eh, this thread is about Galaxy S II why talking about mobile phone plan packages? I know it came with the phone plan at an attractive price, but please if you wanna ask questions about mobile plans, please do so in carrier thread; Maxis/Digi/Celcom. Else this thread become hard for people seeking info about this phone. If insist of talking about mobile plan that comes with this phone, please keep it short.

By the way, anyone owned this phone yet? I mean officially from Samsung Malaysia with Southeast Asian Region ROM and hardware. Coz as I know, Galaxy S II has two versions; one with SAMOLED PLUS display + Orion SoC, AND another one with Super LCD + Tegra2. I suspected Southeast Asian version of Galaxy S II is the Super LCD one, as the price of RRP RM2099 is just too cheap compared to HTC Sensation.

For those owning Galaxy S II here, can let us know what's the model number under Settings>About Phone there?

As for as modders is concern, thats the big disadvantage of Galaxy S II, im considering between GS2 or Sensation.

UK and USA confirmed having the SUPER Amoled+ and Exynos as they are the bigger market there. i9103 are for Asian market, just like Galaxy S's i9003.

Please, this is not kopitiam and not even carrier thread. Stop arguing and debating here.

But I believe this is basically copy and paste from their other's country Samsung specs sheet as it was modeled as i9100, I need to confirm if it is a SAMOLED+ and Exynos by seeing the phone itself and that only can happen on next week.

thats a very wrong analogy. smartphone without data plan is still functional, but car without fuel isnt. A better one is to say smartphone without battery,

Without data plan is without constant access to some of great apps' feature only. if you into offline gaming like angry birds a lot and doest care about Whatsapp or Foursquare, you're good without data plan.

Disable push notification? IF u got few apps with that feature you ll be very cumbersome in disabling one by one. For those without data plan, just disable it at Wireless Network there.

It's already stated clearly in the promo page, flyer, emails, newspaper....etc that only first 300 units were available for RM799. If people camped there overnight since yesterday dont be surprised by it. And these people thought they can get the 799 without putting effort, what for they rant when there are earlier that reached there first, and i mean much earlier than them.

Anyway, has anyone feels that the SGS II color reproduction looks kinda greenish? Thats what I experienced when I play around the demo set.

I think this pinned thread is meant for people seeking info about SGS II we dont need more VS here. That CelcomAxiata is a marketing guy employed by his own iPhone to defend the dwindling market share or maybe under Jobs' spell after eating his Apple.

hmm, it isnt exactly greenish. the color reproduction looks kinda "fake". I cant find any better word to describe.

Please follow Atin at Twitter, he is the lucky Cyanogenmod developer which got a free SGS II from Samsung.

** please ignore CelcomAxiata, no point to flood unnecessary replies to him, his goal was to de-promote any new Android phones so more user will buy iPhone, and he is sucks in doing it.
