In the Features Tab, it is stated as "Samsung Dual Core Application Processor",
so more like Exynos than Tegra 2, right? |

QUOTE(bb.supplements @ Jun 17 2011, 04:11 PM) Lets do a simple maths AGAIN...Since the current cheapest AP set is RM1,949 in Lelong, now RM4,055.32 - RM1,949 = RM2,106.32 So divide RM2,106.32 by 24 months = RM87.76 Now, paying monthly RM87.76 to get RM50 Voice/SMS plus 3GB Data, is it worth it? That is 250-400 minutes of voice or 300-1,000 SMS or a mixture of both, plus 3GB of data...hmmmm.... p/s : Maxis just confirmed that 100% no NFC version during the launch! A naughty bird just flew in and told me this...
We need to pay... 1st month : RM2,099 + [Value plan] + [3GB data] - [rebate RM58] 2nd month onwards : [Value plan] + [3GB data] - [rebate RM54] So total rebate is RM58 + [RM54*23] = RM1300, hence making the phone : RM2,099-RM1,300 = RM799 Now, if your Value plan is RM30, 3GB data is RM88 (-RM10), then... 1st month, you pay RM2,099 + RM30 + RM78 - RM58 = RM2,149 Subsequently, you pay RM 30 + RM78 - RM54 = RM54 So, Maxis collects your money upfront and earn interest...hehehe!!! Make sense, anyone?? |

Just saw a friend posted on Facebook:-
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Just received a message at 5:30am this morning saying, "ALL Samsung in South East Asia had NOT ordered the NFC version. ONLY Europe has placed order for Galaxy S II with NFC!" Hey, what about the leaked photo of EZ-Link cards management?? Hmmmm.... ;-$ ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Getting even more interesting, ehh?? |

QUOTE(lch78 @ Jun 18 2011, 10:27 AM) NFC payment service is virtually useless in this region anyway. This is akin to saying...Not like in Europe and US where shops are already start implementing NFC payment service. "Dual core is virtually useless now. Unlike PCs, no apps has been designed to tap the power of Dual cores in smartphones!" Oh well, Added on June 18, 2011, 11:32 am QUOTE(lch78 @ Jun 18 2011, 10:53 AM) The concept seems good but I afraid the utilization rate will be limited in the next 2 years anyway. QUOTE(Shinichi @ Jun 18 2011, 07:26 PM) Hi all, I'm curious if there's any difference in specs between Malaysia set and Singapore set? As much as I would like to believe it was merely the play of currency conversion,MY RRP = RM2099, SG RRP = $998 (after convert around RM2400+) I am MORE willing to believe that the RM300+ is for the NFC chip & the battery with antenna, plus a bit more of accessories. What say you?? |

QUOTE(kazama82 @ Jun 22 2011, 11:43 PM) do you guys have any knowledge where to purchase sgs2 in korea?..as i have a fren going to korea today, Basically there are 3 telcos that distribute Galaxy S II in Korea:-SKT, KT olleh & LG U+ (See Samsung's website HERE using Chrome with English translation ON. And their models are (in the same orders too...):- SHW-M250S, SHW-M250K & SHW-M250L SHW-M250S & SHW-M250K both support WCDMA & GSM and with NFC chip in it. It also can receives DMB TV. Weight : 121g & Thickness : 8.89mm (not 116g & 8.49mm) SHW-M250L only supports CDMA Rev.B and with NO NFC chip. Its weight : 124g & thickness : 9.4mm So, for use in Malaysia, buy only from SKT or KT olleh. You may see olleh's price HERE. Non-contact is 847,000 won (about RM2,500) Now, as you scroll down the olleh page further down, you will notice the 3D olleh navi apps, DMB TV apps & olleh Touch NFC apps! Whether these will still be there after you flash a new ROM, only the guru here can guide us. I am shipping one in from Korea as I need to test a few thingy on NFC. Whether I keep the stock or flash will depend on the advise I would receive here! Just my 2 sen sharing! Hope it meets your requirement. |
