I was thinking is it possible to buy the phone with RM2099 without any plan on 22nd june? Do u still have to pay anything like tax or something equivalent or just can pay that amount and get the phone from maxis without getting any stupid data plan from them? thanks:-)

For those owning Galaxy S II here, can let us know what's the model number under Settings>About Phone there?

More info of two variant of Galaxy S II here.

I cant see the specs or even the phone there, where you saw it? link?
Edit: found it under Android OS section.

But I believe this is basically copy and paste from their other's country Samsung specs sheet as it was modeled as i9100, I need to confirm if it is a SAMOLED+ and Exynos by seeing the phone itself and that only can happen on next week.

How about this, from Samsung Malaysia website, if u still don't believe then u might just wait till next week check out yourself.

Correct me if i am wrong about this. If i pay Rm 2099 on that day and sign with the RM 30 voice plan for 24 months.....then i can also get the 2 years warrant from samsung whereas the other package only entitle for 1 years warranty from maxis? sweat.gif

Guys can i use GALAXY S2 with prepaid instead of post paid ? I am currently on prepaid and my calling is low maybe less than RM50 per month so signing a contract will be expensive base on my usage.

Since there is WIFI i can surf without the data plan also but will it cause any other problem if is not postpaid and no dataplan ? like downloading firmware ? android market place ? etc ?

This will be my first smartphone, my current phone is dying i hope i can continue using prepaid with this phone. Please advice thanks. notworthy.gif icon_question.gif

I can't help but do this doh.gif .

If you can tahan to just use wifi then by all means, stick to prepaid. Prepaid or post, doesn't matter.

whistling.gif actually, postpaid and prepaid phones using a different type of power input. sgs2... not sure which type will I be sold in MY, whether prepaid type or post paid. this actually applies to all smartphones.

to be safe, stick with regular nokia phones. those sure can use on prepaid or postpaid. whistling.gif

buying smartphone without subscribing to data plan is like buying a car but no fuel to drive.
