All the wall tiles are glaze. Mosaic also but the line is just normal white grout. The TILERS say cannot apply gloss on the mosaic because the gloss finish won't stick on mosaic and very ugly. QUOTE(kochin @ Sep 17 2011, 09:37 PM) Is normal tiles, cannot afford stone. All my contractor not from this forum (who know maybe cabinet will be). The tiler is sub arrange by my contractor. Like his work, think very experience, one of the wall switch not level with other switch lucky he did not follow the hole, but instead move up the opening. All the line seem fit nicely not perfect but is good.Added on September 18, 2011, 5:02 pm QUOTE(Snyy @ Sep 18 2011, 12:00 PM) 3K inclusive of sealer and paints. This post has been edited by weikee: Sep 18 2011, 05:02 PM |

The batten suppose to be a better way, and is also the old way.
If water spill over the floor, it will slip through the floor board and go down to the baton and slowly dry. This make the solid wood last longer. Without batten the solid wood will soak in the water and go out of shape. This batten is also hard wood (think is chengal can really recall), is harder than merbau. Hardwood flooring with batten installation is more expensive than just glu the wood flooring. |

QUOTE(ozak @ Oct 11 2011, 12:02 PM) Think you need to ask them, because some hard wood supplier can do as cheap as RM 10 / sqft, but without batten, use only glue and conventional varnish (oil based). Even the installer i use have the cheaper version i mention.Added on October 11, 2011, 1:58 pm QUOTE(phoenix69 @ Oct 11 2011, 01:04 PM) Got it from www.Parquet.com.my, the only do Merbau.Added on October 11, 2011, 2:04 pm QUOTE(dcblog79 @ Oct 11 2011, 01:01 PM) A lot. You can check out their website www.parquet.com.my give you some basic to start with. The promotion price are glue and oil based varnish. For water base + batten add another 50%, Skirting is RM 5 per foot, stair is RM 30 per Sqft. And if you use 90mm width wood is also RM 2 extra.Added on October 11, 2011, 2:06 pm QUOTE(asciii @ Oct 11 2011, 01:14 PM) Introduce by my contractor, is not really cheap, he only do the layout we want, do the architect drawing, submission and take care of the approval. My wife and I design the layout. This post has been edited by weikee: Oct 11 2011, 10:18 PM |
