Bro Kochin,

You have sharp eye.. Are you from construction background as well.. Nowadays all use PVC beading for corner and edges..

Anyhow is still prefer the true "Lao-Sifu" use cement paste to form corner and edges.. Master piece..

Some don't use that, and the corner are made so lousy. Like my current house wall edge. Now i feel so imbalance, the old one is not nice the new one is so smooth.

hahaha.
you reminded me of a case that we come across before.
the contractor entered into a contract that calls for angle bead.
but during inspection, found out that the contractor didn't do so.
but the thing is, the guy they engaged was the old sifu who did the job so bloody darn well that the edging is perfect without any beads.
and straight line too on ledges.
then the client also in dilemma to pay or not to pay as:
1. work was not carried out to spec; but
2. objective achieved.
hahahaha

and another case where it was specified steel angle bead and the contractor insist steel bead not in market and replace with PVC bead.

am in construction/consultant/development line.... smile.gif

Hi weikee,
for the driveway, is it necessary to put another concrete foundation to strenghten the parking area?

I wish, and hope it don't go beyond 150k, but from my budget worksheet think it already exceed.

Phoenix69, Not sure is India or Indonesia tiles. Got all the wall and laundry floor tiles from Super Ceramic @ 222. Wet and dry kitchen floor is Niro.

Luckily your house is not corner house, if not, the renovation cost will sky high...my renovation cost is more than double than my estimation...unless u can keep one eye closed during renovation...

anyway, good job

Have you'll see such a big root before? It damage entire drain. Have to take out the slab "above the drain" and build back the drain.

The tree not a FS concern, is more of safety concern. Too big and may fall & damaging the floor and drain. If its not too big i actually want to keep it.

And I found out who is my neighbor plant the tree when they first move in. That is like nearly 20 years. Now that i have repair the drain wonder if i can claim back from my neighbor or mpsj?

This is the plaster ceiling putting fiber to give extra strength. Not the neatest way, but it does give some strength. You can ask your plaster ceiling contractor to add "Chou Kan" Cantonese.
