i tried to find audio technica malaysia by using google...but dun have any result as it point it to singapore only sad.gif

do you have any ideal where i able to claim it directly with audio technica malaysia?

sending back to the source i bought will takes ages for sure  cry.gif

try to send an email to audio technica singapore and see what is their reply?

i guess you bought your AT unit from overseas? even if you try to claim from AT malaysia, considering its not under them, i think it may be tough as well. thats always the risk when buying through overseas, when you save a ton from import taxes or even shipping in some cases, when it comes to warranty issues, prepare to suffer, as you may need to ship back to the source.

Quazacolt, if it is possible, can u post a youtube link of female vocal that u find harsh with ad900?
sorry for the trouble, just want to make sure nothing wrong with the headphone......
thank u very much for ur help...... notworthy.gif

errmm.. maybe u can try looking for those high pitch vocals.. honestly i find that the high of ad900 is a bit ear-piercing/harsh.. in my case, Andrea Bocelli -Con Te Partiro and Celine Dion -It's All Coming Back to Me Now.. luckily my amp can soften the high a lil bit..

well speaking of amp, considering govibe peak's (the amp i use) bass coloration, it could be why i dont find the high pitch female vocals harsh at all.

ic.. shall try the amp when ive the chance.. =]
im using a hybrid amp, it softens the high and mid, boosting the low thus make the bass punchier.. am really satisfied with the performance..

btw, made my first visit to Jaben Penang.. kena poison by A2000x.. >.<

np, most importantly as always, do try it out first before you start making decisions smile.gif
thankfully theres jaben around to make this possible, or at least, easier.

bro DaEMoNteNTAcLe, can u explain more about what u mean by DAC limitation?
i'm currently using audinst MX-1 to drive ad900, yet it is a bit grainy with some female vocals...... cry.gif
from my own research on it, i felt the 7-10khz hump is responsible for it's grainy sound, ad700 has even higher peak!...... unsure.gif
in my case, i think the audinst make it more apparent cause with it's not obvious with my sony mp3 player............
it's just my noob opinion, maybe someone have better explanation, i'm glad to hear it...... icon_rolleyes.gif

oh, i forgot to add in my GoVibe DAC.. tongue.gif
the high only appear to be harsh when i plug the headphone directly to the jack on pc.. laugh.gif

my setup is PC -> DAC -> Hybrid AMP -> AD900..

sometimes it can be the dac that's not able to produce fine sound.
sometimes its the amp.
sometimes its the interconnect that is not smooth enough.
sometimes its something else that escape our consideration, simply because we think it wont make a difference. laugh.gif

in ur case of mx-1, its probably along the line of the amp and/or the dac, and the headphone used as well.
why dont you try it again with external power to the audinst? i like it better that way when i tried er... i forgot who's unit.
that was something ago at jaben, but i did find it a bit peaky.

try these few things as well and test the song that you find grainy.
1. change ur software / windows settings to output 24bit if u havent done already.
2. with external psu vs direct usb power.
3. small jack vs large jack, usually they have different gain.
4. use different usb slot on ur computer. (no kidding, just try it).

better if you go back viewnet claim warranty.

anyways for recommendation, you'll want to be more specific, like budget/needs etc. or you may even try out the stickied recommendation thread if you want to try out something other than audio technica
