Problem with the AD2000 is the pads don't fit nicely with the ears. Even with different pads (A1000 pads), after one hour of listening the area beside my ear becomes sweaty. Not recommended if you game outside an air-cond room for long hours. Denon's pads on the other hand fits like an angle (just comparing pads, I'm still a AT fan) . I think AT should look into this matter... Sound wise, AD2000 will deliver up to your expectations if you like the sound signature.
i think the main prob is not quite the pads (what am i saying, a big part of it is. lol), its the surface of drivers pressed against your ear, and/or the ear pads, being too squishy (because it has holes on it rofl, and the inside stuffing/spongy thingy is kinda thinned to allow easy air flow, to have that airy signature)
solution: w5k pads. LOL!

Bros and sifus, can any1 recommend AT headphones with these features:
My Rig: iphone 4, psp, sony laptop
- Type of usage: 65% music 25% movies/ video clips, 10% games
- File format: mostly mp3, wma i guess
- Music genre: alternative rock,modern rock, RnB, hop and almost everything u hear on local english radio from 90s up to now
- Budget: rm1500. willing to go up 2 2k if its really worth it
- Headphone/ earphone type: over ear headphones. ( pls DO NOT recommend Dr. Dre's Beats PRO cos i already have it, the design and material is cool but the sound quality is a MAJOR disappointment.
- Other requirements: this is a bit tricky. need something with noice cancelling/ isolation feature ( good when inside airplane/ trains). COMFORTABLE ( doesnt put much pressure on the ears after hours of usage). no sound leak ( dont want to sound disturbing to the people arnd me). good looking ( a must), durable and built for last( if possible). SQ and clarity must be VERY GOOD, bassy but not too bassy ( dunno if i made any sense on that last phrase there).
read review abt AT M50, sounds good but the only set back i think is there is no noice cancelling feature.
why dont you goto jaben and give the A/woody series a try before deciding? your budget is very good, but with AT's various lineup, and your preference, there is no way we can provide an accurate recommendation with such a generous budget (wouldnt want them to goto waste now do you?)
while i would recommend AD series, your requirement of listening on an airplane/train would immediately fail because its a full open can, which means sound from ur headphone would leak like crazy, as if you're wearing 2 speakers on ur ears

in terms of good looking, woody series looks hella awesome. or if you want the futuristic looks, A series fits the bill too. so, yeah, either the A2000 or w1000x (or w5000 if you can stretch ur budget

)
