oic, i mite need research m50 too. cos i mite get annoyed cos ad700 leak sound. i cant stand his ksc75 leaking already. we keep our 3 pc in a pcroom along with all my audio gear... and normally we hang out here listening to speakers, but sometime he listen his own thing and i get annoyed at the leaking sound if he turn on too loud.. lol
*
oh the AD series leak like hell, FAR worse than ksc75 ever would. you may want to look into the A series, or the w1kx (woodies tongue.gif) if ur budget can stretch that far, additionally m50 is a good choice, though those are monitoring headphones and some people prefers their headphone to be "fun" and "lively" than pure monitoring accuracy.

if you're going for the AD series, its one of the best you can get from that series unless ur going for the highest ad2000 lol.

sounds better if you plan to change the earpads too tongue.gif
more so if you're having slightly higher priority on gaming, as more bass is always good for gaming

What earpads is good for this Ad900 gaming?

i personally dont think the ad900 is particularly excel on metal, however if you like that open soundstage, and especially that coloration or signature on the trebles, and strong mids, then yeah definitely.

better headphones, i wouldn't know, however i have been hearing that grados are particularly good for rock/metal, and they have much better "energy" than the AD900 or AD series in general.

i have grado sr60i too....but i still prefer ad900 for metal because every note is clear and distinctive, especially the bass......
maybe, higher end grado may sound better than ad900.......
but only problem is some female vocal sound weird to me in ad900, it's like "grainy" a bit.......especially, alison krauss voice.....
do u have this kind of problem,Quazacolt?

oh that is rather interesting coming from a grado owner, more so the bass comment, as i have known that the AD series aren't particularly good in bass until you reach the flagship of the series AD2000 which have a emphasis on low-mid/low (bass).

as for female vocals, i think if its higher pitched ones, with the AD900 sound signature/coloration, then it *may* appear grainy to some, or maybe harsh. i'm not particular familiar to alison krauss so i cant comment further on that i'm afraid. ^^;

firstly, try to claim from the source you bought it from with receipt, should be ok.

if there are any issues then you bring it up over here, or to audio technica malaysia directly

well i did mentioned "to some", in which for me, i find it perfectly fine lol.

as for youtube, that would be pretty tough either even if i have female vocals that i find harsh, as its kinda tough to be analytical over youtube quality sweat.gif
