how come it kena charged?? This is under warranty any statement reason from them or jaben did they know about it?

the reasons are kinda obscured to me, they didnt even let me have possession of the actual repair bill/receipt. only letme see the copy of it, in which certain details are censored lol.
kinda shady there if you ask me. i did managed to spot uncle wilson's name on it though lol.

welp! so long the problem is fixed, and the charges arent that high honestly, at worse id just consider it shipping charges back and forth msia - sg, without the worries of customs and what not.

just quite disappointed in audio technica as a whole, and a little bit on jaben considering no updates/details are provided until the very day i am going over for collection itself, which surprised me. at least they apologized to me a lot on that, so i guess i can let it pass.

having some doubt over audio technica entry level quality

imo (as with a lot of other people i know) audio technica's entry level are nothing to shout about. they may even be overpriced since they are from japan after all.

its their mid to high end ranges is what they do good

you mean they are made in japan?

in my personal view....if your entry level aint do good it will just scare away customer like me....who will try on entry level only go for mid or high end model

simply because of price vs performance, and yes, AFAIK most, if not all of audio technica lineups are indeed from japan, which of course, means expensive stuff, even for the entry level, which may or may not justify their pricing. to put it simply, there are potentially better brands out there than audio technica for the entry levels.

as for the trying part, thats where shops like jaben steps in, no?

Guys, need advise on my ES7. I dont know what happened, I just realized that the left side cable got a small cut. Maybe kena my HippoCase zip or something. Can it be repaired? Is it possible to do a new recable? For the whole thing.

if there is a cut, normally they will replace it with a charges.

Both sides still works properly. Just the left side got koyak already. Can see the gold color thing inside.
For now, I just tape it. No biggie but heartbroken lah. Just noticed alot of complaints about the very thin cable for ES* product in Head-Fi etc.
So was thinking of mod it entirely. If only I can find the good ppl to do it.
