wtm0325, try using 133divider and run ur ram at 1T. Pump ur ram voltage to max of 2.8v den vcore to 1.6v and c what ur get. I think there is sumthing limiting u to go above 300HTT. I have difficulty at 1st when i try OC. But with different setting , i manage to get higher. Of course u need a good rail too.

i have a S64 2500+ (E6) with DFI NF3 250GB + KHX PC3500 (256mbx2)
how high (OC) can this combination hit?
i only able to get 235 fsb so far.... must use NF8 to achieve high OC ?

DFI should giv you better result. I using NF8 becoz there is no place i can find DFI at penang,so end up with dfi. I saw some1 on 350x7 on 2500+ with DFI mobo. Mine only max up at 345x8.

The same model. Btw u should set ur HTT ratio to 3x and using divider to run that high.

First of all... DO NOT RUN AT 2T.
2T mode sucks big time. There are many other ways to push the RAM to run at higher speed besides running at 2T. Just leave it at 1T instead.

redleaf,

Firstly, have you updated the BIOS? E6 runs best with the latest official BIOS.

Since you got an E6 and the best S754 mobo around, we skip 250MHz, and go for 300MHz instead.

First, we need to make sure whether your CH-5 can do 200mhz 2-2-2-5. I think you should know how do do this part, and enable the memtest option. Run memtest85 at Test #5. If you can pass 50 loops, it's okay already. If you cannot pass, just run your ram at 200mhz 2-3-2-6, it's fine enough.

Okay, let's get to the 300MHz FSB thingy.... try out this setting:
Genie BIOS Settings:

FSB Bus Frequency - 300
AGP Bus Frequency - 66mhz
Clock Spread Spectrum - Disabled
LDT Downstream Width - Auto
LDT Upstream Width - Auto
LDT/FSB Frequency - Auto
CPU/FSB Frequency Ratio - 8x

CPU VID Control - 1.4V
CPU VID Special Control - AUTO
Chip Set Voltage Control - 1.60v
AGP Voltage Control - 1.50v
DRAM Voltage Control - 3.10v

DRAM Configuration Settings:

DRAM Frequency Set - 133 (DRAM/FSB:2/03)

Command Per Clock (CPC) - Enable
CAS Latency Control (Tcl) - 2.0
RAS# to CAS# delay (Trcd) - 02 Bus Clocks (03 for better stability)
Min RAS# active time (Tras) - 5 Bus Clocks (set 6 if Trcd=3)
Row precharge time (Trp) - 02 Bus Clocks
Row Cycle time (Trc) - Auto
Row refresh cyc time (Trfc) - Auto
Row to Row delay (Trrd) - Auto
Write recovery time (Twr) - Auto
Write to Read delay (Twtr) - Auto
Read to Write delay (Trwt) - Auto
Refresh Period (Tref) - Auto
Write CAS Latency (Twcl) - Auto
DRAM Bank Interleave - Enabled

(everything else just leave it at auto)

Then try run SuperPi 32M or Prime95.
1. If there is error, you might need to increase the CPU voltage.
2. If you have trouble getting into windows (blue screen etc) try increase the chipset voltage.
3. If you have trouble running 3d applications, set AGP speed to 67MHz and AGP voltage to 1.6v

I've swapped by 2x double sided DT D43 for 2x single sided BTJ.

Overclocking results improved.

2x double sided , MAX HTT prime stable = 296
2x Single sided , currently at 315HTT. LEtting it fold at this speed a little while

The double sided has some issues with NF3 . ( dates back to NF2 again? rolleyes.gif )

yap, itried using 1xdouble sided, and it tops around 300HTT. i've tried many voltage adjustments combos but i couldn't get it to prime stable.

currently i'm running at 100mhz divider, juz to eliminate the rams fault.

mmm in comparison, In folding (600pt gromac) , the 2.8C @3.8ghz takes around 25mins to fold a step, compared to my current sempron 2.2ghz which takes around 35mins.
