u r chun bro, msi can go tht high, my mobo still stuck below 300htt sad.gif

well u hv to increase ur vcore to get over 300htt?
*
yea...did increase the Vcore to 1.5V to achieve this clockspeed...and i havent even hit the wall..now lets hope that my rams are able to take this HTT...cause i calculated already...i should max around 328HTT when using 3:2 devider...

dunno wats wrong with my KVR...with 1:1 i only can go to 248Mhz while others do around 255Mhz...sheesh....

and when using 5:4 i hit around 288HTT anything more than that and memtest shows errors popping out!!

First of all... DO NOT RUN AT 2T.
2T mode sucks big time. There are many other ways to push the RAM to run at higher speed besides running at 2T. Just leave it at 1T instead.

redleaf,

Firstly, have you updated the BIOS? E6 runs best with the latest official BIOS.

Since you got an E6 and the best S754 mobo around, we skip 250MHz, and go for 300MHz instead.

First, we need to make sure whether your CH-5 can do 200mhz 2-2-2-5. I think you should know how do do this part, and enable the memtest option. Run memtest85 at Test #5. If you can pass 50 loops, it's okay already. If you cannot pass, just run your ram at 200mhz 2-3-2-6, it's fine enough.

Okay, let's get to the 300MHz FSB thingy.... try out this setting:
Genie BIOS Settings:

FSB Bus Frequency - 300
AGP Bus Frequency - 66mhz
Clock Spread Spectrum - Disabled
LDT Downstream Width - Auto
LDT Upstream Width - Auto
LDT/FSB Frequency - Auto
CPU/FSB Frequency Ratio - 8x
CPU VID Control - 1.4V
CPU VID Special Control - AUTO
Chip Set Voltage Control - 1.60v
AGP Voltage Control - 1.50v
DRAM Voltage Control - 3.10v

DRAM Configuration Settings:

DRAM Frequency Set - 133 (DRAM/FSB:2/03)

Command Per Clock (CPC) - Enable
CAS Latency Control (Tcl) - 2.0
RAS# to CAS# delay (Trcd) - 02 Bus Clocks (03 for better stability)
Min RAS# active time (Tras) - 5 Bus Clocks (set 6 if Trcd=3)
Row precharge time (Trp) - 02 Bus Clocks
Row Cycle time (Trc) - Auto
Row refresh cyc time (Trfc) - Auto
Row to Row delay (Trrd) - Auto
Write recovery time (Twr) - Auto
Write to Read delay (Twtr) - Auto
Read to Write delay (Trwt) - Auto
Refresh Period (Tref) - Auto
Write CAS Latency (Twcl) - Auto
DRAM Bank Interleave - Enabled

(everything else just leave it at auto)

Then try run SuperPi 32M or Prime95.
1. If there is error, you might need to increase the CPU voltage.
2. If you have trouble getting into windows (blue screen etc) try increase the chipset voltage.
3. If you have trouble running 3d applications, set AGP speed to 67MHz and AGP voltage to 1.6v

tried to push vcore to 1.55v and chipset voltage to 1.9 already...
any idea?
thx;

the reason not to use marvell sata is because the sata port is not 'locked' properly during overclocking.

300x7 is stable & passed super pi 32M thumbup.gif
thx alot, soulfly notworthy.gif

wat the vcore u r running now? mine one 30++ idle when running default...

damn u can adjust 2.5, our abit only 12345, but the HT multiplier doesnt effect the performance at all no matter how high u go

I got feeling that our HTT max around 1020mhz on abit NF8. No matter wat voltage i put, always cant get it stable when go above it.

I using 0528WPBW now. Max stable when priming is 2.699mhz on default vcore. 337x8.
I can prime whole day with 2.7Ghz++ but when play NFSU , it will freeze. HTT bus limiting me. if switch to 2x ratio cant boot, 3x ratio cant go above 337 stable at NFS. Need to wait abit new bios. hope they have 2.5x ratio.
