Test BED:
Abit NF8 (stock) Flashed to BIOS 17
Sempron64 2500+ 256kb (default 1400mhz)
512mb KVR DT D43
Cheaplak GF2MX 200
Good Ole' Vtech 350w
Voltage @ Bios = 1.5v (It doesn't allow undervolting)
Currently letting it prime @ 2000mhz overnite, more results wil be up in a fewdays time.
Initial findings:
1. a 600mhz overclock from default it's definitely a good sign.
2. Probably, the NF8 isn't a proper board for pushing to the highest HTT.
Currently, from what i've read, highest is 320 HTT.
3. another 1700+/1800+ DLT3C craze?
4. AFAIK, there are no databases for s64 2500+ OC result, so probably a
reference result here will be a good start. (Period)
There are results of s64 2800+ , doing around 2.5-2.6ghz. Probably this lower sibling will be able to hit as high as tat, provided if the mobo does high HTT.
5. IMO, should the CPU scales higher, the MOBO will be the limiting factor here and the DFI would be the best choice in exploiting the fullest of this cpu.
6. For those NF8 users with Enermax 431w, do take note, the combo isn't compatible. I can't get the Enermax to boot the NF8
