My mobo sys temp= cpu temp, n cpu temp stuck at 115. >_< btw i already stop playing with HTT. Cant get throught 345 for me. It the mobo limiting me.
*
345MHz is really impressive.... Most NF8 mobo reviewers only hit ~310MHz. tongue.gif
BTW, what's your CPU steppings?

For RM370, I think it's better to get Abit NF8 for some ~RM300, use the rest to buy a 2nd hand vga card. (GF4MX maybe?)

thts the ram problem rite? try to lower down ur htt lo...

btw anyone know how to calculate divider? my cpuz showed my ram was 234mhz, but memtest showed 242, izzit somethin wrong?

n i found my nf8 less 4 capasitors, how bout urs cyclone n kusingfight? i doubt tht might limit the OC capability sweat.gif
*
Because urs is NF8-V2.

Assuming 41.5C is on load? Yeah, as always remove the sucky stock thermal pad and replace it with As5 or something

Good speed u have, ramp up the HTT. keep al voltages at default. Set the divider to the lowest and increase the HTT.

what's more...mmm.that's it i think. Of course..Prime it for stability
*
No, that's actually the idle tempt. His full load is ~51C. What shocked me was, when I tested his CPU with sp2004, the tempt rose from 41.5 to 50C almost immediately! (yeah in like 1 seconds or less!!). So, I'm wondering if the reading is accurate. BTW, I touched the hsf, it's just slight warm, which I think is far from close to 50C. unsure.gif

btw, has as5 or some thermalcompound applied?
*
Yeah, but it's a brandless thermal compound. Should apply some AS5 eh??

0527EPAW
A = Gred A
B = Gred B
M = Mixed
others = POS

But I think this is not an accurate indication. tongue.gif

I just install up kucingfight 2500+ with NF8. And the result is i cant get anything above 293HTT with BT-J or corsairVS with 133% divider. Only able to go around 320-338 with my old kingston VR Ddr333 and apacer ddr333 with 3/2 divider. Nf8 really giving me headache. It love cap ayam ram. >_<
*
Hmm..........how about the Crucial rams? Can get the same HTT as your 2800+??

Abit NV8 (Nforce 4 4x)

Sempron 2800

0532 TPMW

1.45v

325HTT x 8 multi

2.6ghz

stock cooling

Ram Twinmos doublesided 512mb = 2.5-3-3-7 1T

Memdiv = 266

= runnig at ddr436

LDT = 3x

Question : how is this performance compared to Week 0527 xxDC

anyone knows ???

bought the MSI NForce 4 4x = MSI K8N Neo3 to test but somehow the BIOS does not show vcore settings

So decided to stick with abit (tried and tested ) Jap capacitors

temps at stock quite hotler,...48-50c nonaircon room

bte did you know that the nv8 has vdimm up till 3.2v
*
Haa!! Finally someone with NV8 did some o/cing! drool.gif
BTW, prime stable? Vdimm until 3.2V? Not too bad!

i stuck at 335htt coz when i claim over this amount i hv to add vcore, currently running at 1.45v tongue.gif

btw i only seen max htt 350htt using nf3 chipset, higher than tht only nf4 i seen
*
Nope, I've seen HTT near 400MHz with nF3 using DFI LP nF3 mobo. Anyways, it has more to do with the memory controller than mobo only.

dun forgot u r using 6600GT n sata, mine is only 9550gt n pata 2mb, my 3dmark03 oni 3.5k tongue.gif

cyclone proc is a lot faster, his CPU score at 3dmark03 is ~990, tht's almost equivalent to 3800+ X2 le...

mine is ~946 oni... doh.gif
*
I don't think 3dmarks will be affected when u r using SATA or PATA. So as CPU score. However, CPU speed tends to increase fps in Game Test 1 of 03' and 05'...that's how they lift the overall score by o/cing CPU.

That's a nice combo. drool.gif I'm thinking of buying the same combo but I'm afraid of getting CPU with lousy mem controller. Anyways, what's the stepping of this 2500+?

Well,I suppose to buy a Sempron 2800 early on,bcoz this stupid DFI mobo is very picky when choosing memory.And I bet the BIOS engineeer of this board pick their nose a lot too....biggrin.gif now Im stuck at 1.89GHz and the divider wont work,it only works under 250HTT

If I buy a 2800 I supposed to get 2.16GHz now cry.gif
*
Could it be BIOS settings problem? huh.gif

1. With DDR400, u can use divider when u hit higher FSB. But how high the FSB goes will depend on how good the memory controller is (which is basically depends on steppings/luck) and also the mobo (lower priority than memory controller).

2. I am assuming u r getting an AGP setup. So, KV8PRO is OK but I recommend NF8 (or DFI LP nF250gb if u can afford more budget.) I haven't seen KV8PRO getting FSB as high as NF8 (max is near 350MHz from Cyclone87 i think)
