Wow. Then how the heck did you get that kind of mileage? 13 inch rims? How many km/l are you getting? Consistently getting 11++km/l was my holy grail, lol. Maybe I should start aiming higher .. biggrin.gif
*
not sure..it comes natural
i think is 14 or 15 inch...ori rim from m-line
not sure how many km/l i'm getting...didn't calculate
but average is around 400KM
sometime more sometime less...depends on how i rev and how fast i'm going

IMHO there's no reason why a change fr semi to fully synthetic engine oil shld cause any prob. Unless, of course, the viscosity/SAE grade is changed, too. wink.gif

Me planning to change when service interval is 10k Km...hehe...cos only then it wld b worth using Fully Synthetics! icon_idea.gif
*
why does service interval 10k is worth the use of full-syn? why not 5k?

see my shifting right b4 redline, non of the gear reached cut-off... hehehehe...

tips: if u wanna see the shift rpm reaching cut-off or not, if the next gear rev from 5k++, it's normal 1, if the next gear rev from 4k++, cut-off reached (bad shifting)...
*
mine doesnt shift like that

from 3rd to 4th, the rpm drops, hovers, then climbs

Ok, my case is like this

I got my car second hand, car was serviced at SC once

Then for my first service and subsequent oil change, I did outside

When i wanted to claim warranty for my IAFM, they said that my warranty was still valid

cool part, the warranty wasnt claimed under my name

Fully synthetics can easily last till oil change only after 10k Km...
However, I always change the oil filter @5k Km & top up with leftover fully syn oil fr previous oil change.

So kinda value for $$$ plus better protection for bearings, etc... thumbup.gif

The cost of fully synthetic is easily double that of semi synthetic. Fully synthetic is supposed to be able to go 10K km while semi synthetic is supposedly less than that. Therefore, the only reason to consider fully synthetic is so that you can extend the service intervals.

When you service the first 3 times, the intervals are 1K, 5K and 10K. Notice how you don't get to take advantage of the extended service intervals of fully synthetic oil during this time. At the 10K service however, you can, since you are free to service as you wish after that.

Please do report back on your numbers. Would be nice to know what fellow owners have experienced so I know what to expect if I make the drive myself. I'm sure others would appreciate that as well.

Your 391km can stretch to 400 without a problem
*
I guess it could definitely. The furthest I ever tried was taking the car for about 430km. That was a trip to Ipoh with highway and then driving around the town. Ended up pumping 33L of petrol. All along using Ron95.

Just a question. Has anyone tried pumping one full tank of Shell V-Power 97? Heard it's good to do it once in a few months.
