Your FC will improve as your mileage increases..dont forget to break in the engine at the crucial period.. I predict at least 300km full tank for full city driving should be pretty decent.. |

QUOTE(MikKaa @ Jun 23 2011, 10:33 AM) zeone, Hi! It's my way of comparing...savings I now get fr using RON95 instead of 97! how to u get 1L free for every 2L? using mobil/esso points to change for free fuel or some sort of credit card that gives extra points? can we change petronas points for free fuel too? For every 1L RON95 I use now, I save RM1 (b4 price drop!). So every 2L RON95, I save RM2 which pays for 1L RON95 + 10sen leftover! Btw Petronas pts can b used 2buy petrol. Insert yr Pet'nas card 2redeem. This post has been edited by zeone: Jun 23 2011, 11:39 AM |

Good morning, guys!!
I refilled my fuel tank yesterday. Guess how much km/l I got for my previous tank? QUOTE(sleepwalker_00 @ Jun 23 2011, 09:56 AM) RM800 for 4 doors and floor is quite cheap already...I think Penang can't get this price. QUOTE(ericmaxman @ Jun 23 2011, 11:06 AM) After i got my car back, i set the radio channels and audio settings. Just wondering. Did you switch off the AF function?Just now when i was driving, the radio just turns off...then when on again, all the settings gone.. QUOTE(jo3y30 @ Jun 23 2011, 11:27 AM) Morning everyone, Well, the first few thousand km will not be representative of the actual FC. Maybe after 5K or 10K service.I guess i m the 1st owner for the Saga FL 1.6. Got it for 2 weeks oredi. My FC reports. 1st week pump rm50 of RON95=260km. 2nd weeks pump rm50=245km. is this good for a 1.6? Also, I would recommend that you follow the proper procedures when when measuring petrol. Otherwise your FC readings will be inaccurate. 1) Fill full tank 2) Reset odometer 3) Drive normally until ready to refill (doesn't have to be until empty tank) 4) Refill full tank again 5) Compare the quantity of petrol in liters you just pumped vs how much mileage you just drove 6) Repeat steps (2) to (5) at least 3 times and get an average. This should give you a proper reading. If you want good FC. please also ensure you keep your tires properly inflated. Every 2 - 3 weeks would be nice. Try not to rev hard frequently as well. Try maintain around 2K to 3K RPM and cruise around +-90KPH. This post has been edited by +Newbie+: Jun 23 2011, 11:45 AM |

@MR_Alien,
Sure or not? What's the secret? QUOTE(DaBestOne @ Jun 23 2011, 12:13 PM) It's not that nitrogen will improve FC. Nitrogen will retain the same pressure longer than plain air, so you don't have to pump so often. This is probably the single largest benefit. The FC argument comes into play because some people argue that normal people normally don't maintain their tire pressures properly. Therefore if you do not maintain tire pressure properly, your avg tire pressure in between pumps will be very low. Since nitrogen will retain pressure longer than air, it will stay on average, at a higher pressure in between pumps than plain air. Higher avg pressure = lower rolling resistance = better FC. If, however, you maintain your tire pressure regularly, then you will not benefit as much. Another benefit is for people whose travel habits cause the tire temperature to change drastically. E.g. Racing, going up and down mountains, etc. These cause air to leak out more, which requires regular pumping. Nitrogen would benefit here as well. Honestly, if nitrogen was free, I would say why not? But since it's not free, I don't see any point in it. How much difference is the FC? Is it negligible or meaningful? I think that in most cases, it's negligible. Is the savings in FC meaningful enough to pay for nitrogen? I honestly think that in most cases, it isn't. I'd rather you take some time to maintain your tire pressures properly. That would benefit your FC more than anything else, besides your right foot. This post has been edited by +Newbie+: Jun 23 2011, 01:18 PM |
