GB bug. Don't really knw how to solve it, but a reboot usually reduces the Android OS drain.

So is my phone defective I ask?  Physical damage I don't see any .  Hardware wise there is no denying SGS is great with its beautiful Super AMOLED screen but oversaturated and inaccurate colors.

Regarding my GPS, I manage to get my GPS working in Froyo but since I switch to Gb, it have no luck getting any lock on.  So is my GPS hardware broken?  If it is, then why does it work in froyo 2.2.1?

So my SGS can do all the tweaks imaginable and I like that.

But imagine I got a very important appointment tomorrow which i cannot miss.  So before I go to bed, i must remember to set my alarm.  Alarm I set but it never ring the next day!  Why because my SGS was out of juice when I was deep asleep, but how can that be?  I have a 50% charge left when I go to bed.  So I miss the appointment and can only live to regret it.

Then I charge my phone  night before so i have a full charge the next day.  Brought my lovely wife and kids out for shopping and movies etc.  Was expecting a very important call from an oversea client.  It was 3 pm in the afternoon and I hardly use my phone but it only got 10% juice left.  But I am expecting a call from my client and he hasn't call yet.  So I cut short my family outing and head back home to charge my bat?  Home is a least 90 minutes in this heavy traffic so do I have enough juice left?

The moral of this story is that we can do whatever tweak we can on our SGS but at the end of the day, it has to do what it is suppose to do.  And not give us any hustle doing it.  I just want a peace of mind.

Now I know what iphone user meant by "It Just Work"

I had to agree with you. Sometimes, my SGS isn't as reliable as my 3GS. That only happens when I am in the phase of switching roms, flashing this and that and you don't really know how your phone ends up tomorrow, mostly on battery part. So, settle down with your best rom and you're good for half a year. I had days when my SGS died on me, but that was on eclair or early froyo. Frustrating la.. But good thing about Android, is that there's always a fix. Just get back home sit in front of the computer and start reading, then I get a "new" phone that works. I've been happy with SGS since... MIUI and CM7.

PS: I don't think your hardware is defective. Charge your phone before you go to bed. I practice that and I get through the day fine.

Wow, what??? Why is Microsoft the one butthurt? Google had all of those things first.

Auto uploading photos? Android's photobucket, flikr and possibly every other apps can do that.

Notification? Yeah it came from Windows mobile 6 in those days but that was a failure and Android derived the superior notification bar the way Apple is trying to clutter into it's little 3.5" screen that imo, made the phone look... cluttered and old(?)...

Wi fi sync? Ever heard of Air sync? Does DoubleTwist ring a bell? That was so last year and in 2011 you guys fought for credits?

Facebook/twitter integration? Android had third party integration NATIVELY ever since 2008... you get options menu to upload pics or comment on facebook/twitter/flikr/photobucket or every possible app right away after installing the apps. I must give credits to Apple for all the exaggeration that made it look way overrated.

iMessage? I am not sure of this, one function that I rarely use. But I believe Google Voice can receive and send messages to any phone or platform...

What else "innovation" from Apple?
I admit I really like Safari Reader though. Wish I could find a loophole in there where Android already achieved... tongue.gif tongue.gif

Anyway, I like where Apple is going with iOS5... Doesn't matter, as long as I get the update it's a win win situation for me. Android still muh main phone yo. flex.gif
