MP3 is one thing, but having iTunes to convert all your video files is such a pain. Luckily SGS supports direct transfer and most codec.

I actually find iTunes much better for me to manage my songs.  Here is why.

When you copy your songs direct to your SGS and open up music player, you have all your songs.  But If i want to add playlist then I have to create a playlist and then scroll thru all your songs just to select the songs you wanted to add to your playlist.  Very slow and painful process.  You can try copy 50 folders with 20 songs each folder and try to create playlist for each one and you will know what i mean.

For Itunes, I can manage and my create my playlist, drag and drop my mp3 into the playlist and sync into the iphones and its all there.  I can start enjoy all the songs in my playlist.  I also prefer to work with my PC on this thing because the phone screen is too small and typing on the PC is much faster.  And its so much faster to manage my songs in itunes than on the phone itself.

So I don't see anything wrong with using itunes to manage my musics and sync it to the phones.

hmm, u mean creating playlist for each folder? after jailbreak no need iTunes can use usb rite?

1) yes but must disable all lagfix and tweaks from fugumod kernel first if any activated

2) must change pit file to pit512

Non of these are problems at all if you jailbreak the iphones.  I don't see why you would root your SGS but not jailbreak the iphones.

Well, if you like iphone so much, why bother urself using SGS? hmm.gif

I am just trying to make a point here that it is actually best to transfer songs via itunes as it easier to manage the songs collection.

Simply drag and drop into SGS sound great, but the nightmare begins when you start to play and manage your songs in your phones especially if you have hundreds of songs.

*
You can use Samsung Kies to transfer songs collection. Latest Kies has been styled like itunes, but with the option to convert media files before transfer or just transfer as it is.

I still use it for backing up my songs, camera pictures and syncing with Outlook. No need to revert back to TW launcher before connecting with Kies. Guess many users have abandoned Kies for a long time. wink.gif

Here is a screenshot of the latest Kies:

yes, it good that SGS supports most video codec. But I still convert my video files 1. to reduce the filesize 2. to reduce the video size to fit the SGS screensize so that it use less cpu power when playing it. No point putting a 1080P movie in there while the screen size is only 480x800.

Jailbreaking voids your warranty (iPhone 4 had lots of minor issues like faulty Home button), makes direct upgrades to the next version of iOS harder (have to wait for new jailbreak software) and in some cases worsens battery life. Anyway you still can't avoid iTunes sometimes because certain applications require it.

I'm no idiot. I never download 1080p. Mostly files downloaded from facebook and the regular res anime. I simply dont have time to download large media files and converts stuffs because I am always on the go.

Swt....just becuz of one reply.I'm no android fanboy but I do admit I support Google's works in innovating today's technology wif freedom and open concept.Besides mp3 I still prefer to transfer direct.if wanna mange playlist, there are media players in com tat can do tat even wif our phone. So if apple would have supported a little bit more freedom I would have credited them.Sadly nothing new tat would give me a new perception on the way things are done over the iphone. Its still a great device no doubt but some ppl prefer freedom over wht they choose to do.
No offence though.
