QUOTE(ic3joker @ Jun 12 2011, 11:03 AM) I actually find iTunes much better for me to manage my songs. Here is why. When you copy your songs direct to your SGS and open up music player, you have all your songs. But If i want to add playlist then I have to create a playlist and then scroll thru all your songs just to select the songs you wanted to add to your playlist. Very slow and painful process. You can try copy 50 folders with 20 songs each folder and try to create playlist for each one and you will know what i mean. For Itunes, I can manage and my create my playlist, drag and drop my mp3 into the playlist and sync into the iphones and its all there. I can start enjoy all the songs in my playlist. I also prefer to work with my PC on this thing because the phone screen is too small and typing on the PC is much faster. And its so much faster to manage my songs in itunes than on the phone itself. So I don't see anything wrong with using itunes to manage my musics and sync it to the phones. This post has been edited by lightning69: Jun 12 2011, 12:10 PM |

QUOTE(Bap3 @ Jun 12 2011, 12:17 PM) I am just trying to make a point here that it is actually best to transfer songs via itunes as it easier to manage the songs collection.Simply drag and drop into SGS sound great, but the nightmare begins when you start to play and manage your songs in your phones especially if you have hundreds of songs. I actually have to agree on this.
itunes is convenient for managing the songs. I guess this is why I rarely use my SGS for music. |

QUOTE(lightning69 @ Jun 12 2011, 10:58 AM) I use an iPhone 4 and I dislike iTunes. I prefer using USB file transfer because it's universal and I don't need to install Apple's software. Also if I want to select an MP3/OGG file as a ringtone I first have to convert it to .m4r then use iTunes to drag and drop. And as for SMS tones it's impossible even with iTunes unless I jailbreak. |

Non of these are problems at all if you jailbreak the iphones. I don't see why you would root your SGS but not jailbreak the iphones. |
