so now im confuse the latest info on their website says new cars applied after 1st Sept onwards will get 5% cash back on petrol ,i remember the promo was also on Aug right?

SCB are kinda spoon-feed so you need to urge them either by calling CS, or by email they will take 2-3 days to response to you.
I applied on 27th July via online and only knew card approved on 24th Aug via SMS and the card arrived on the following week.

i replied to cconline.documents@sc.com

Successfully cancelled my World master card.... the card cancellation department just let me go without any further offer after they gave me Rm50 & 10,000 pts to offset GST on the old VISA Platinum card. Meaning to say, SCB will not retain customer for 2nd card cancellation is short period.

i've sent to that email too
and they didn't bother to reply me at all

no reply as well, cs from price solutions called the next day

ronnie, the extra cashback already appear in your online banking system? if yes, is it after the 2nd statement?

i contacted pref CS and i was told the cashback will only appear after the 2nd statement is generated.

It's still not in the Online Banking transaction details. I believe it should appear ONLINE before the statement is generated.
I will be getting the next statement come 15th..... I shall wait and see.

My colleague apply this online and would like to help her to ask all sifu question here :

- Someone from SCB (private number) call her to verify the application and told her the application is in the 'final stage' of processing, high possibility it will approve.

The question is, how long it need for the 'final stage' ? How she know the application is success or fail? Anyway to waive the GST?

SCB will use the free cash to offset the GST

Eventhough SC gives you RM50 credit to offset GST as part of the retainer package, you can use the cash first and use your own 10k ChoicePoints to offset the actual GST (when charged)

I think it's better than redeem ChoicePoints for other items...

Thx bro. By the way she got a sms about her application already approved （that was fast, lest than 1 week since she applied online）, but then when she called to SCB to check further on the approval card details, the cs tell her “unable to check, you will know when the card reach your hand“ . @ _ @

I had applied the card online and the flow as per below:-

29 Aug - Apply online
5 Sept - Received call from Price Solution to forward my attachment
6 Sept - Received sms from 63365 stated that my application unsuccessful =.=
8 Sept - Received call from SCB to verify my I/C and mailing address

When I ask why I still need to verify my details since my application is rejected, she answered on her end, my application is still in process and in final stage and she don't know why I received the sms on 6 Sept.

When I ask further did you know which card I applied for, she said she can't veiw my application data except the personal detailed as her task is to verify my personal details only. Btw, the call no is received on 8 Sept is shown"Unknown" on my phone.

Anyone any idea?

The SMS notification on card approval by SCB is unreliable... Says reject but it's actually approved. Happen to my friends also.

In terms of cash back, I think Maybank 2 AMEX is the best. No cards can beat the 2.5% (Treat Points) + 5% Cash back on weekend.
