sms to register for the 25% cash back for dining promo in early june.
then swipe rm1000 for dinner at a Chinese Restaurant at DamansaraJaya in mid-june.
So to get the RM150 cash back I need to swipe another RM500 on any transaction on or before 30-June, is that right?
Just want to double check, in case I overlook other T&C.

In order to get the 25% cash back on dining bills in June, you need to swipe at least RM1,500 in total (including dining) in the same month.

Simple answer is YES, you still need another spend of RM500 (either dining or other retail purchases, transaction done before 30 June 2011)

I hope SCB extend this 25% cashback promo as it is better if not on par with MBB2 AMEX. Assuming a RM2000 transaction (RM600 on dining), simple calculation:

MBB2 AMEX: 10k TP (RM50) + 5% max (RM50) = RM100

vs

SCB: 2k CP (RM10) + 0.5% for business visa (RM10) + 25% dining max (RM150) = RM170

SCB still give more return for RM1500 transaction (RM300 on dining). Drawback is the min RM1500 to qualify. No AMEX acceptance and weekend constraint whistling.gif

Total spend for June rm1560, so should qualify for RM150 rebate.
It also mean no more rebate for July.

I agree that this promo should continue every month ... hahaha. 25% cash-back dining per month
A better comparison would be spend of RM1500 (RM900 others + RM600 dining)

Maybankard2 AMEX : 7500 TP (RM37.50) + 5% Weekend Cash-back (RM50) = RM87.50
SCB Business Visa : 1500 CP (RM7.50) + 0.5% Cash-back (RM7.50) + 25% Dining Cash-Back (RM150) = RM165 icon_rolleyes.gif brows.gif rclxms.gif

Last month when I cancelled SCB Preferred WMC, SCB did not offer me this RM100 incentive. Instead, SCB gave me free 11,000 points automatically to my SCB JustOne Titanium MC.

At least you do not need to fork out cash or use your existing hard-earn points to redeem the RM50 service tax waiver.

Yesterday I called the CS hotline and asked for the RM100 retaining incentive. My request was turned down immediately.

RM100 is given by Price Solutions agent end (follow-up call on the next day), the Hotline CS has no power to do that.

Does anyone else having problem with their e-statement? Ever since i got their card, has not been able to unlock their statement with the password that they pre-set for us.

Other than that, does anyone has a list of the restaurants / affliates that they have promotion with? Cant seem to find any on their website.

Better register asap... not all 38,000 CC holders who had registered could achieve the RM1500 minimum spend.

Change the e-Statement via SCB Online Banking Portal

Now it's only RM88 cash-back for new sign-ups
