Last month when I cancelled SCB Preferred WMC, SCB did not offer me this RM100 incentive. Instead, SCB gave me free 11,000 points automatically to my SCB JustOne Titanium MC.

QUOTE(MGM @ Jun 26 2011, 01:42 PM)
sms to register for the 25% cash back for dining promo in early june.
then swipe rm1000 for dinner at a Chinese Restaurant at DamansaraJaya in mid-june.
So to get the RM150 cash back I need to swipe another RM500 on any transaction on or before 30-June, is that right?
Just want to double check, in case I overlook other T&C.
*
In order to get the 25% cash back on dining bills in June, you need to swipe at least RM1,500 in total (including dining) in the same month.

hmm.gif , they gave u automatically huh
i have to request for it, but they granted the 11k oso rclxms.gif
maybe i have to wait another month before they will automatically give me biggrin.gif

At least you do not need to fork out cash or use your existing hard-earn points to redeem the RM50 service tax waiver.

Yesterday I called the CS hotline and asked for the RM100 retaining incentive. My request was turned down immediately.

If that's the case, I'd rather purchase the stuff in SGD and let it be converted back to RM. Furthermore, if you use SCB Platinum or Business Platinum, you can earn 5x choice points.

Yes, 5x choice points benefit is applicable to SCB VI only.

It was a mistake. Although SCB Platinum and Business Platinum give 3x choice points for overseas spending, the super high forex rates from SCB, coupled with high points requirement for redemption, make these Platinum cards not attractive to be used in overseas. If they are given 5x choice points like SCB VI, then it could be another story.

Choice Points earned by different SCB cards are all combined. The points will still be there if you cancel one of your SCB cards, as long as you still hold one SCB credit card that earns Choice Points.

would like to know what is the main diference between normal platinum and business platinum ? which one is better ?
*
SCB Business Platinum is better than the normal SCB Platinum. Whatever benefits offered to SCB Platinum can also be found in SCB Business Platinum. On top of that, SCB Business Platinum gives 0.5% cash back for all retail transactions (except petrol). However, if you just want to own MC but not VISA from SCB, then you can only choose SCB Platinum because SCB Business Platinum is a VISA series only.

Is the SCB Infinite card any good? I understand that they give the priority pass.....but is there any good dining privileges? thanks for the feedback.
*
Be aware of the hefty annual fee though. SCB does come out with some attractive dining promotions for all SCB cards recently.

frankly, no USP in the card, except for the priority pass.  Other than that, just like any other card, i suppose.
*
You can get 5x Choice Points for overseas transactions. Besides, you can expect high complimentary travel insurance coverage.

QUOTE(Gen-X @ Oct 3 2011, 10:23 PM)
2 years free, that's good news smile.gif I have been wanting SCB VI for quite sometime (shiok sendiri and fetish with credit card thingy as someone said) and this month SCB got incentive for me to go get it smile.gif
*
Better open the PB account this month, with 5% interest till December 2011, plus free gift.

QUOTE(audionutter @ Oct 4 2011, 07:17 PM)
Does SCB have two types of Visa Infinite cards? I thought only one type given to Priority Banking customers which is free for life? There is another one that has annual fees, is it?
*
The non-PB SCB VI is not free from second year onwards.

QUOTE(ronnie @ Nov 1 2011, 01:01 AM)
As they say "Imitation is a form of flattery"

Suggestion for SCB Cash Back Credit Card
1. 5% Cash-Back for Petrol, Dining, Groceries, Utilities, Pharmacies, Cinemas, Bookstores (Monthly Cap : >RM50)
2. 1% Cash-Back for other spends
3. No ChoicePoints will be given
4. Annual Usage Bonus of RM50
5. Free-for-life (i.e. no AF)
6. Immediate Cash-Back posting (2-3 days after transaction is posted)
*
Not good enough. SCB JustOne Titanium MC which gives 5% cash back for ALL transactions made on Fridays and 2% cash back for ALL transactions made on non-Fridays (subject to maximum cash back of RM600 per year) could easily beat your wish list.

My wish is to get a card which could give 5% cash back for ALL types of transactions.

yup same error message. tried since last night before 12am.  doh.gif

I am an existing SCB online user and yesterday I made an online standing instruction for a payment of RM300 from my SCB JustOne Titanium MC to Astro to be made on 1-11-2011. Hopefully the transaction was automatically done at 12.00am today.

ican confirm that if the balance is oledi -ve, TM will not autodebit anymore

If you choose debit card function from SCB JustOne Titanium MC, it will still deduct from the debit card and treat it as overdraft.

It's 1 Dec 2011, don't forget to pay your bills via SCB Online Banking to win up to RM100 Cash Back

The easiest way is to do standing instruction online. I've done it for 1-12-11 and 1-1-12 a few days ago.

It is not auto debit. It is actually a "scheduled payment" set for 1-12-11 and 1-1-12 only.

My SCB JustOne Titanium MC is going to be expired in June. I have a feeling that SCB may take this opportunity and stop renewing this card for existing cardholders.

But there's "hidden" T&C that you need to keep the card for 12 months, else you need to payback the RM100
*
SCB can't stop you from cancelling the card, unless you have signed an agreement with SCB or any B&W stating the card must be kept for at least 12 months.

Yes they can's stop you... but they will charged the RM100 into the CC account

There is no such clause in the T&Cs. If this happens, you can challenge them and report it to BNM.

Yes, finally the RM100 cash back for online bill payments has been deposited into my credit card account. My strategy of scheduling the online bill payment date on the 1st day of 3 consecutive months (online standing instruction) works.

Never do this to SCB JustOne Titanium, if you have this card. Do not take the risk!
