Hi guys, I'm not sure if I got conned or is something but need your inputs on this. I got a call last friday by a person claiming to be from SCB to offer me cc.

He told me that I can try applying for the business visa plat as now they are having rm200 rebate and after gst deduction, there will be a credit of rm150 in the cc.

Given that is a platinum card, I just tried my luck and fax the application form with my ic. According to him, the new policy is that we just need to submit application form and ic so that they can key in into the system, within a day, they will be able to tell me if it's approved or rejected and the cc limit if approved.

So, I'm the evening he called me and say is already been approved and I need to submit my income which I duly did.

So one week later which is today, I still haven got any news or mail for the card. I tried calling the person today but he never pick up.

My question is, how long it takes to get it delivered?

Also, is this true about sc bank process? That they get ur application form and ic to get initial approve, following if approved, you need to submit your salary slip?

Btw he only asked for one month salary slip.

I'm not sure how true it this but I hope someone here can share a few thoughts.

I got call from SCB price solution , asking me to take up the offer which I did , approved within two days and I received SMS from SCB application approved. I only submit IC and income tax summary.

yes..they will waive it for u..just give the customer care a call...

but of cuz, newcomer shud also read the FAQ at the first page too..and then ask to confirm whether the information is still relevant onot..

These newbies need to learn to search.... typing the word "GST" and click Search Topic would yield very close results.

yeap..i agree on tat..i myself is guilty of tat sometime..

If you notice, i provided an info and request him to do a search and he comes back with another question. If all the regulars can do it, others should be able to do it as well.

i was replying to a point raised by fastreader.

There's a technology called search function these days. And the answers is some cases exist many times as well.
HELLLLOOOO ... there's only few of us and being repeatedly asked the same question by hundreds or thousands of readers. Repeated question problems and people who want golden treatment exist since V1 of the cc thread. Is it reasonable for us ? We serve the forum voluntarily but the expectations is not reasonable.

And the expectations that people want their question to be entertained personally so that they could get direct answers quickly to their own personal needs. (I think ... I said that directly) And I have said this in the T&C ... we don't entertain such coz we don't spoon fed spoilt kids.

This is the problems caused by the young internet generations these days .... not only apparent in LYN but also in many forums in all over the world. And in those forums as well ... they exemplify the technology called search function - use it. Not so difficult right ?

Correct me if I'm wrong but the Customer Relationship personnel is the term used for Premier customers. So, if that's correct a Premier customer getting a RM300 cash rebate ? Not surprising.

Normal customers will have Customer Service Officer attending to them.

SCB is well known to made their own in B&W and you are required to sign. If the offer exist then potential signups are aware of the offer upfront.

YES, You can always call up to cancel without walk-in

well, i think maybe not for Public Bank.

eh last time my PB one I cancelled also on the phone only. that was last year

mine was last year as well. at first i called to the CS to do cancellation. but the CS told me that i have to walk-in to any PB branch for CC cancellation.

hmm...maybe she was too lazy to help me over the phone.
