Boot tray: Original Honda rm400
Steering leather wrap: Cheaper if you bring to your nearest seat wrapping/interior shop, ask them to wrap. Around rm80 i heard. Not yet doing mine.

If it's 3M crystalline series ~1500 +-200, he is your normal friend with friendly price.

If it's 3M RE/HP series >1000, u may un-friend him tongue.gif

wonder if anyone's done sound insulation/vibration dampening material on their IN2?

heard good reviews of Dynamat... thinking of Dynamating my 4 doors + the engine hood...
*
Maybe u need to consider insulating the floor board as well, by adding thicker carpet ??

Thanks watonk. My SA (Sumber auto) previously told me to wait for few months to get the cheaper version (somewhere at seapark) for the boot tray and side garnish, that was in March. After getting my car, sms also dont want to reply, haih.

If source for jazz/fit, have to buy from honda ka? Any other place in PJ reasonable and durable ?

was parking in open-air car park today... got 3 hybrids in a row... my IN2 in middle, another white IN2 to my left, and a silver Prius in the right.

of all 3 cars, some passers-by stopped and was looking @ my car (probably wondering if the DRLs i pasang comes w/the car or not biggrin.gif).

not bad. of all 3 hybrids, mine catches their attention. aisehhhh....

For me its a combination of '0' tax (though HM making more profit out of it), CBU, Fuel economy and best of all, trying to preserve the world for future generation.... biggrin.gif
199Nm of torque. That is better than Camry 2.0 u know.. somemore Insight have lighter body... drool.gif
I'm not that technically sound but imho, shift to 'S' for rapid acceleration is better than stays at 'D'.
Our CVT are using clutch pack at its driven pulley. It doesnt use torque converter at input shaft. This setup helps improve efficiency by eliminating power loss at torque converter and improve smoothness.
However, dragging the car at D will results more 'slips' on its hydraulic control clutch packs as the computer will always try to get its highest infinite ratio and at the same time increases load on its belting.
While S will limit the gearbox to its lower ratio hence better pickup, less clutch slips and less load on belting. That was also the reason why they recommend us to shift to L for extreme climbing.

2 types of failure in City CVT last time was worn belting (though it steel) and worn clutch packs. And most of the CVTbox failure were happened to earlier batch City which Honda Malaysia themselves mistakenly use normal ATF during service that time (back in 2003-2004).

Hope they've already learn their lesson...

Very technical explanation on the D vs S drive thumbup.gif
But in layman term, can we maintain S drive on highway at high RPM cruising @ 130km? ? Cause I have tat mentality that S drive is low gear only...

this is rather misleading. on paper it is written 121[12.3] + 78[8.0] (Engine + Electric Motor)

but it is impossible to have all 100% output from engine and motor at the same time as shown below... 170+ Nm of torque is still impressive though.

want to ask: for our car it won't be the situation that the car will run on battery ONLY rite? even at very very slow speed? (i am referring to the case when car IS NOT stop and IS MOVING)

Turanza softer compound = quieter, worn faster
Dunlop 2030 harder sidewall = noisier but fun at corners
Sure or not? Out of thousand parts on the car, how come the core part ie. battery can be left out?
They might be waiting for the carpet. I notice the carpet were courtesy of honda malaysia (got tag below).
Mudflaps: source the Jazz/Fit mudflaps. Its about ngam.
Boot tray: Original Honda rm400
Side step: Original Honda rm300 plus labour (without labour rm280)

two things already rm700. not really worth it because by adding rm400 can get the alloy pedal and foot light.

Had my 3rd month service with 2.6k KM on my odometer  sweat.gif

Only change semi synthetic engine oil, oil filter not changed
*
how come oil filter is not changed? for my other honda car, it always change oil filter together with the engine oil. tot oil filter is the most crucial thing to change during service even compare to engine oil?

you are right westlife, I am still looking for OEM mudflaps (without the Honda branding). Anywhere around PJ or KL? The mudflaps are more important now.
