Jockey park is the solution haha.

btw, am planning to go Fraser Hill this weekend. Just me & my wife.
As this is my 1st auto car, not quite sure on th gear usage.
Should I use D all the way uphill or shift between D & S depending on the slope?
As for downhill, should I only engage L gear all the way down?

Appreciate your advise bros.
*
I use d to go uphill all the way to genting, bukit tinggi. No prob

just added windscreen coverage... for my IN2. RM 4500... works out to RM675/year. Quite exp for windscreen - but apparently it covers all windows (front/back/sides), so that's good.

the shitty part is that i decided to add this coverage in in my 2nd month, so i have to drive to MSIG branch, let them inspect the car and settle the payment there. quite inconvenient.

so moral of the story: buy windscreen coverage upfront, before u get the car!
*
Same my premium also that amount.

FYI, windscreen coverage follows the car insurance expiry also. So u insured 2 mths later the coverage also expired 10 mths later.

So I agree it is better to insure at the beginning.

if u buy now from rm98000 til now rm99800, im sure ur resale value should be ok after 5-7 years, because now gov giving no tax on this car, in future... wa tak tau.  tongue.gif

and after 5-7 years, battery should drop to 50-60% i think... so another cons point for this car...
BUT, if another 5-7 years and our "1 Malaysia" petrol increase the price 30-50%, den i dun think u sell ur car. hahaha

and if you looking for high resale value car, pls go for vios. tqvm
*
looks like a lot who got the car already then worry abt the resale value now. think a lot of impulsive buyer for this car due to the fact of no tax and made in japan car.

personally i bought the car without worrying the resale value as i love the car (had taken into account that the worst case scenario the car has no resale value at all, of course it won't be worst til that extent).

if want to talk logically, think most owners like myself definitely are not going (or should say not able) to sell the car within the next few years soon. As frankly speaking, msian does not appreciate new technology therefore in terms of resale value, b4 u get the car, u should already take this into account. if cannot get good resale value, u can only suck thumb and continue to live with the car. sweat.gif

speaking from experience having a white Insight - it's definitely the toughest color to take care of properly. i wash my car every wkend... and still i find it gets dirty easily, esp under our weather.

will the color fade - eventually, yes. but that's true of any color regardless... how fast it fades/turn to cream color all depends how often u wash, where u park (under direct sunlight each day) etc.

go with what your heart tells you. i love my white - no regrets even tho its hard to take care of this color smile.gif
*
Yeah white definitely the best color for most car. I am just too lazy and also cannot than dirt so I choose blue instead although I feel white is nice for sure.

good morning all.
i just came back from sumber auto and wanted to order the boot tray.
I was charged RM400 and was informed that the price of the accessories also increased ... after the Insight price hike to RM99,800.

I understand that the original price of boot tray is RM300, now RM400!? If it is true, it is 25% price increase.

Anyone has purchased the boot tray and mind to share the price?
*
I bought the beta package at rm1100 which includes trunk tray. Rm400 seriously u are carrot chop as NYC trunk tray only rm150

how about u try my idea, i told him to get refund, automatic he/she will try her/his best to get the car. But i don't get rm500 discount because he told me, he will 'potong' queue. not sure it right or not. he told me, they only get rm500 for insight commission.

Dun believe the SA's words at all, if only rm500 commission nobody will want to sell the car

ok, thx for d info.
so the SA just BS me syaing that the price has increased.
The boot tray memang RM400 la.
Actually, quite dissapointed how they handled my queries on the accessories as the Sales Supervisor seems to be unsure on many things on Insight.

By the way, just to inform you all that the door step garnish is out of stocks and they are not sure on the availability.

Dunno why it is so difficult to get the accessories ... or maybe t hey dont get commission on accessories, that is why such lousy feedback from them.

Honda Malaysia, take note if any of you reaidng this.
*
No, ur SA definitely get extra commission for ur extra accessories

Now in Actmar service center for 5k. Reach here @ 7.45am, learn a lesson from previous visit. I'm the 16th customer, lol. Apparently no appointments during saturday, which sucks. Let's c how long I'm gonna wait.

The whole process took 2 n half hours, okla not bad. The maintenance includes change of semi syn oil n washer drain. Insist wheel alignment n balancing check which cost around RM44.

My bro-in-law had his cvt gear changed as well (2nd previous gen city). I rev the engine hard only when in 's'...u could feel much more responsive n smooth, no dragging whatsoever, contrary when u rev at 'd'. Its like the cvt is straining. That's y we have that 'L' gear for slopes. But then again, gotta remind myself of the vulnerability of cvt gearboxes.
*
Free semi syn oil?

usually i will use S whenever i need to overtake a car. Treated it like O/D on a auto gear.
also use S sometimes when i need a good pick up after i reduce speed especially on slope. Pretty much like shifting back to gear 1- 2 from gear 3 - 5 on a manual car.

i would say i drive like a manual car with this S and D mode. S = 1 - 2. D = 3 - 5. would that be a problem to this CVT like u guys mentioned?
*
If already in high speed can just switch to Low gear?

Turanza softer compound = quieter, worn faster
Dunlop 2030 harder sidewall = noisier but fun at corners
Sure or not? Out of thousand parts on the car, how come the core part ie. battery can be left out?
They might be waiting for the carpet. I notice the carpet were courtesy of honda malaysia (got tag below).
Mudflaps: source the Jazz/Fit mudflaps. Its about ngam.
Boot tray: Original Honda rm400
Side step: Original Honda rm300 plus labour (without labour rm280)
Steering leather wrap: Cheaper if you bring to your nearest seat wrapping/interior shop, ask them to wrap. Around rm80 i heard. Not yet doing mine.

Interesting....
U go for which package?
*
Boot tray: Original Honda rm400
Side step: Original Honda rm300 plus labour (without labour rm280)

two things already rm700. not really worth it because by adding rm400 can get the alloy pedal and foot light.

how come oil filter is not changed? for my other honda car, it always change oil filter together with the engine oil. tot oil filter is the most crucial thing to change during service even compare to engine oil?

Thanks watonk. My SA (Sumber auto) previously told me to wait for few months to get the cheaper version (somewhere at seapark) for the boot tray and side garnish, that was in March. After getting my car, sms also dont want to reply, haih.

If source for jazz/fit, have to buy from honda ka? Any other place in PJ reasonable and durable ?
*
all the SA is like that. CMI make it one, they only serve "$$" not customer. tongue.gif

usually when I spotted the dark blue color, i will quickly release from the accelerate pedal, or cancel the auto cruise when I am auto cruising ... that's how i minimize the aggresive acceleration.

my favourite screen is FC Screen  brows.gif
my favourite screen used to be the 1st screen, showing the petrol and battery arrow sign.
*
but i find the info screen a bit irritating that everytime start the car must press to see the screen. and it does not remember the last shown screen at all, always need to press.

There is another option... just turn off auto climate control and adjust your air cord fan speed... With that the air cord fan speed will not decrease; it will stay at the speed you have set. smile.gif
*
i am not sure if my observationn is correct. it is true that the aircon will be off when auto-stop. but i realized the engine auto turn on to get rid from auto-stop if the temperature inside car dropped even the car remains stop.

so the auto climate still works even auto-stop so i dun think it is a concern even jam when auto-stop triggered during hot day.

no no i am not referring to the aircon blower. i know the blower will continue to blow during auto-stop while aircon is off.

when i am auto-stop, brake never release, the engine auto turn on by itself after a while temperature drops.

yes, it is written in the manual.
during auto off, the compressor will be shut down, but blower & engine will function as usual.
but if the compressor temperture is too low, the auto off function will not kick in or the stop period will be minimized
*
ic. ya. then i dun think there is a big concern to use econ mode with auto stop even during hot day.
