I also agree with u, Honda Japan cannot simply change the spec of the car, its like cheating customer, a big mistake that a company would do.

Actually, I don't buy this as well....

1) The size of the batteries, do they physically fit each other?
2) If assuming that it does fit, does it function better/poorer? Civic Hybrid 1st gen's battery or are we talking 2nd gen Civic Hybrid??
3) Assuming it's all true, it fits, and functions better, and QA Honda releases it.
4) Why would the Msian customs block it??

Or Honda scalvaging (recycling) old Civic battery pack and modify it for Insight use? To some this is big hoo haa or a no no. Well if this is real, I dont see any problems actually because both uses same NiMH cells ..just taking out the new cells from the Civic battery pack (since Civic Hybrid already EOL) and repack into Insights IMA battery pack. After all ...that's what GREEN is all about. As long as 5 years warranty is valid...I think shouldn't be any problem.

Hmmmm, if let say our battery suppose to last up to 10 years then after all the repacking and only 5 years warranty given. That's mean we have been cheated and taken advantages to accept refurbished battery just like 3rd world country.

I think you got it wrong by using the word refurbished. Repacking the "new cells" has no impact on service life. Perhaps saying it this way is easier to understand, just changing the container. Anyway all these are just our speculation. No official words hence guys reading this please don't take it too seriously.

Now waiting official letter from H.M and discuss with SA what to do... I think will state deliver date in the letter..

Refurbish mean Recondition so I believe is the correct term if let say they repack the new cells on an old battery/PCB. As wat u mention, it's just our assumption. No need to take it too serious.

Dun get refunds... This is a good car fyi. If u refunds means ur sa earn anothet rm1800 due to new price for insight. Since u already wait for 6month, y dun u jus wait ya?

Call HM for proper explanation, dun trust what SA said. Check whether u have any requisition number. Something not right to have such a long delay, so more you booked it before the launching.

Just call HM and make some noises there...it works everytime...furthermore, what they really care is about US---> CUSTOMERS....just give them a small piece of your mind....hehe!
