Hi - rooted my S2 - using KE2 insecure kernel and reflashed the stock kernel (yellow triangle gone!!).

Question now is - how do i flash KE7 which is supposed to be better for battery life? would a different kernel version be allowed for a KE2 version

Use Odin and just flash on top of ke2, don't select repartition
However clear cache partition first from recovery mode first
If you don't have recovery installed, flash chainfire recovery 3.6
Your data remain intact after flash

Thanks - the first part is ok but I I am concerned over the second part on pushing the zimage to the sd card etc . Whats your process, same as per the instructions?

Th z image is just to remove the yellow triangle. OR You can flash stock ke7 kernel to remove it too
Just follow the instructions which is correct

OK so I flash chainfire KE2 first to clear the cache then flash back KE2 original kernel
then flash KE7 insecure tar and then to flash original KE7 tar right
