the waiting game is forever. I stop waiting after 3 month neo/pro delayed (and as of today there is still no news that se MY will bring it in) and bought myself an AP set neo.

Warranty? If it will fail, it will fail. I had 4 AP phone that never warranty b4. I had 4 ORI phone that 2 of them screwed up 1-6 months after the warranty period elapse. So should I care about the warranty?
I had unlocked the phone and rooted it 3 days after I purchase the phone:
day 0 juz purchase, battery need 8h charge
day 1 been googling the firmwares & methods
day 2, viola I am on a rooted phone

You can wait for the xRay but I must warn you, with the way SE rolls out the models, I bet you can ony get it during xmas.

OFFTOPIC: Arc is nice but I just don't like the size. Too big.
This applied to SGSII, Sensation, and the rest of the phones that had uber large screen size. I'll get a pad if I want that big screen. Nobody would want other to look into them in typing sms and viewing fb.

Yes, Sensation speaker is better and louder. As for the screen, Sensation is not very good, in fact it is worst than HTC IS and yes it is wash out and look a bit white when not look straight on. The screen it the major turn off and it was the reason I chose Arc over Sensation. The price is almost identical and Sensation wins in most aspect such as CPU, gHD screen, HTC Sense 3.0, RAM, internal memory, solid body, speaker, better and polished pre-installed apps, etc. But hey... movie, games, photo, web browsing looks so much better on Arc so I can live with that.

Oh yeah photos and movies is excellent on the Arc no doubt about that and the camera.

If SE stay/improve these advantage... might change to their dual core once it out... (Xperia DUO)

oo so they improve thier speaker...haha use to be thin and kinda harsh (peach) sounding

HTC IS is the best screen among htc phone
if its wash out, then no point for me to loose money over it

hopefully sony 2.3.4 update with the rumouer xloud thing do come, i suppose it help with the volume, the in call volume could be better, and its funny tht on speaker phone it sound so quiet....

our arc now able to run at 1.86ghz!! one of the guy use it for 12hours without issues...it got a score of 2676....impressive hard ware

October?? In fact 2.3.3 is already better than 2.3.2 in terms of battery consumption. I doubt SE can do much in 2.3.4

All arcians, saw rumor from internet that SE Xperia DUO is coming out in this Sept. ohhh, i want upgrade to DUO......

not sure if duo can come out so fast or not

if DUO is true, then it should be the top of android phone. Featured 12MP camera, 1.5GB of RAM, 2500 MAH battery, and 8GB of internal storage. Wahhhh cant wait to own it.

i doubt SE will release a flagship so damn fast and early.
1. it would kill Arc, loss money
2. SE is famous for releasing their product late.

they might do some intro on sept but yeah who knows... just i don't think it's this year

Looks like the new DUO got even thinner side bezel than ARC!!! And the camera button seems to be at a good location too :-)

But I must confess, ARC still look damn sexy after 3 months. LG2X and SGS2 is nowhere near ARC's beauty

Yup, it will always look high-end. It will not suffer at least for another 2 years. I am not sure about gaming but I don't buy an Android for gaming.
