All those promo by AA, booking & actual flying time is atleast 9 to a year ahead. So chances of ppl cancelling due to lotsa reasons also very high & thus, additional income to AA haha

I scared i wait until i wont get any tix..

Hi May, I had the same thougth with you. Was thinking of visiting somewhr around March but I'm worried continue waiting might end up with higher price fare. Let's keep our finger cross for the next zero-fare promotion. drool.gif

if u are on budget trip and don't mind minimal services, why not look for a hostel instead? only about RM50-60 per nite.

i cannot imagine spending like 6 hours sitting in front of the computer trying to refresh the AA website, then ended up only paying maybe a hundred bucks lesser. doh.gif it's only worth it if can get the 0 fare, if the fare is 300 per way, u still end up paying about 700-800 bucks inclusive of luggage and all those chargeable stuffs. that's how AA make money.

But still better than MAS going to Taiwan using only Boeing 737-800..My Taiwan trip, MAS using B737--super narrow plane & so small..and seat similar to AA quality i.e the common black leather. The only consolation is the free food, drinks & comfort kit.

AAX to Taipei using bigger plane A330 or A340? so much more comfortable..unless MAS using 747 or A330/A340?

I'll never take MAS to Taipei.. NEVER!
Everytime it will be like either China Airlines or Eva Air, if not then Air Asia.

i juz bck frm taiwan...highly recommended keymans hotel near to taipei main station.the hotel very clean n free wifi.may b the price a bit exp,but very near to taipei underground mall(walk 1 min),then it links to the taipei main station.u can go to anywhere with the mrt or bus.very convenient n save time.

remember to apply for free Digital Tour Buddy before go to taiwan.it is a free hp with free 100 yuan credit.u can use it to make local n international call.

http://tour.youthtravel.tw/travel2009/1210...19f24bfc137ec63

remember to bring ur student card.most fo the tourist spot place can ur msia student card to get special discount price.may b most of the website dont mention valid for international student card, but actually it works for malaysia student card.haha.

if you r travelling in group of 4,may b u can take taxi frm hotel to tai yuan airport.800 yuan per taxi.juz 30 min from keymans hotel to airport caz the taxi driver use a newly open route to the airport.and u no ned to carry ur heavy luggage.

for those who like to shopping n travelling wif air asia, pls buy extra luggage as air asia will charge rm40 per kilo if u exceed the luggage.

Just back from 6D5N taiwan. Travel during summer is definitely a pain. No mood to take photo, walk and tiring. But, it was fun. Taiwanese are very polite, friendly and helpful. Try to talk with them and you will shock how polite they are compare to malaysian. *different culture, education since they were young*

Review of my stay,

Taipei Homestay (9/10)
Pro: Very cheap, 5minutes walk to MRT, clean, friendly owner, near to famous breakfast shop.
Con: Located in a dark lorong(but well lit and safe)

Windsor B&B (Jiufen) (9.5/10)
Pro: Cozy, nice view, very friendly owner, 5 minutes walk to Jiufen street, flower tea and delicious breakfast provided
Con: Some unknown insects fly into balconi when u are enjoying nightview, sunrise etc

City Inn (XiMen) (9.5/10)
Pro: Cozy, clean, artistic room design, beside Ximen MRT station, friendly lobby staff, ipad and computer provided to go online
Con: Blue film provided (con if traveling with family, mayb pro for some couple) biggrin.gif

Overall the trip was great. Like the way taiwanese speak, work, etc. but travel taiwan again during summer is NO NO for me wink.gif
