2 weeks ago I called U Mobile, being polite I told them about my connection problem. I was getting like 360kbps only, despite the network shows full bar.

Then last week, I called again to ask about the progress. They say they will put a reminder. I was still very polite and say ok la, I wait.

Then today, I tak boleh tahan. I made a huu haa when I called them. I demanded them to update me by today if not let me speak to the supervisor.

10 mins later, here is my speedtest:

Why must we resort to threaten customer service only we will see things being done? I really don't like to scold people, but they really leave me with no choice. I was expecting U Mobile customer service to be better than TMnet. But in the end, all also the same.

wow your way of demand them it works,. rclxms.gif rclxms.gif rclxms.gif rclxms.gif

U Mobile's speed has been surprisingly VERY good after they upgraded their network infrastructure around Subang Jaya area. Last few weeks the connection has been very inconsistent, but now it's all good. VERY good.
(and of course, this is after all the shit they throw at me, a new U Mobile Broadband customer shakehead.gif )

You sure about this?
I thought user should be quite careful over this. I am not sure, but i hope that this won't happen: You use 500kb one session and charged 5 sen. Later you use 200kb/s another session also being charged another 5 sen?

yup correct... but nevermind coz i'm not a heavy user...
i access umobile via hp only & kb of the data being transferred is so small...

the prob is when the carrier display MY CELCOM, i can't access internet at all
i thought it'll auto switch to celcom2g
do i need to configure something in my phone...
currently only 4 available :-
u mobile internet
u mobile mms
u mobile wap
u mobile streaming

if yes, how to configure celcom2g settings in nokia 5800XM ?

QUOTE
Through this renewed domestic roaming arrangement with Celcom, U Mobile customers will continue to enjoy nationwide coverage and improved user experience, with seamless hand-over of voice calls from U Mobile’s 3G network to Celcom’s 2G network. Later in the year, U Mobile subscribers roaming on Celcom’s 2G network will also be able to access data services such as Mobile Internet, MMS and Content Downloads.

QUOTE
May I use this internet service while roaming domestically?
Yes, you may use the internet service outside of the 3G zone / Domestic Roaming. Edge’s speed will be assigned.

above FAQS from "unlimited mobile internet" RM28 package...
i need to subscribe this to get internet access in celcom area/coverage (2g) eg. at gua musang ?

QUOTE
Why doesn’t my mobile internet service work while Domestically Roaming / non-3G zone?
Please ensure Data Roaming is enabled in your phone settings.

how to enable "data roaming" in 5800XM ?

Umm, i do not have such a problem with my nokia phones when roaming. However, i do create a celcom3g APN, but i think it is not used when roaming. unsure.gif

Freaking me when I got my bill recently.  There is suppose rebate from RM 100 paid upfront, but its not there. Crap...what are they trying to do...
*
i also kena... the rebate wasn't there in the latest bill... jz bring the old n latest bill to the customer center in person... calling them won't work coz they'll jz say they'll pass to their technician... but then no news liao... the guy in the customer service will jz photocopy and fax the bills to one of the special department which will rectify the things... i complained on saturday and received a sms on monday saying the missing rebate will be in next month bill.

Hi Acat, everytime you reload there will be a serial number to key in.
U Mobile has all the serial number and will keep track when they reload& how much they reload.
Why not go for the highest accumalative top up to win Holiday trip ?
