just wondering, are there any issues with MK5's DSG? will i be able to bring the car to any of the VW's SC for diagnosis & thorough check-up with a fee?

But my first and second service is free one, feeling that they are gonna steal back one free service by doing the unofficial simple service

you dont need to go for earlier service if you dont want to. VW cannot force u to go. if you ant ,..just go outsidte workshop, its under rm400 for oil and filter

Say guys, really considering changing the springs on my GTI to maybe the H&R Sport Springs...anyone done it already? Does it effect the ride quality as in comfort much?

Thanks...I've actually read that but wanted more opinions as I use my car as a runabout for the weekends too, so it has to be fairly comfortable for my missus and kid. Anyway, I do think that any change will necessitate a loss of comfort and I suppose I won't know until I do it

1) RM 523. 50
2) RM 600 - 700

if i do the unofficial services at out side workshop, when the real first 15k services at vw sc, do they will notice? if they notice, any issue on warranty part?? or other issue... thanks

like me, just change engine oil will do lo..since fully syn can last around 10k? air filter dun change loh since suppose to last till 15k right.. fully syn oil outside selling around rm160+ only.. workmanship at ah kao workshop around rm10.. if u dun trust them, then go to places like exquisite marque lo.. they say they drain out oil by "Sucking" it wor.. not sure what they mean by that.. but u bring ur oil and change there RM50 for workmanship

its normal bro..
our car is performance car so sure will be bumpy 1...
even u set comfort mode ur tires are still low profile u will still get a bumpy ride on uneven surface..

u can service at SC but without using the free voucher as my SA told me .

they dun service ur car if you bring your own oil, u need to buy the oil from them only they kao tim for u... and they charge per litre RM60-RM70... not yet count workmanship.. where outside i bought castrol fully syn around RM160..+ RM10 workmanship from own mech only RM170 spend on 6k km.. then only will give VW sc some business when i reach 15k ..

wow...many different prices quoted from VW dealers...my agent quoted me 4xx, he said would be around 440-460 :S why the differences when the parts/components changed is the same??

I guess they have an oil sucker machine... just imagine a vacuum cleaner but only for motor oil.
