Scuffet was awesome for the past season, but its probably a bit early to see whether he will be another Curci or not. My money is on Perin to make it big.

I may be bias - I expect Destro to be the main prima punta for Azzurri soon lol  tongue.gif

btw I'll throw in a name for the sake of discussion - Nicola Sansone. I think he still kinda young to improve and be worthy for Nazionale - not really great, but good enough squad member  biggrin.gif

Italy beat Bulgaria with De Rossi penalty, both teams down to 10 men'

user posted image

Daniele De Rossi scored the only goal of the game from the penalty spot as Italy beat Bulgaria on Sunday night in Palermo to take over top spot in Group H.

De Rossi struck in the sixth minute after Veselin Minev fouled Antonio Candreva inside the area. The veteran Italian midfielder later earned himself a red card 10 minutes after the restart for retaliating after a bad tackle by Ilijan Micanski, who was also sent off.

Bulgaria had chances to equalise but neither side found the net the rest of the way in an entertaining Euro 2016 qualifying encounter.

The win has lifted Italy above Croatia and Norway into first place with two games remaining. Defeat means that Bulgaria are now unable to catch Croatia, who are third and hold the last playoff spot.

The Azzurri, who had not lost a competitive home qualifier in 16 years, made five changes to the side that struggled to beat Malta 1-0 at home last Thursday.

Coach Antonio Conte left out veteran playmaker Andrea Pirlo from the starting XI with De Rossi taking his place in midfield.

Stephan El Shaarawy replaced Citadin Eder in attack playing alongside Graziano Pelle, who scored the goal against Malta.

hahaha... i have also forgotten this thread... sure it has been dormant since the last awful world cup exit.

now that we are leading the group, its time to solidify that lead, it is important to have seedings when comes to the final draw for euro2016. the last two matches against azerbaijan (away) and norway (home) are fairly easy for azzurri, but nothing is assured yet.

22 shots last night against bulgaria rclxms.gif but only one went in doh.gif

Luckily he is not stubborn enough to stick with his typical 3-5-2...

Conte slowly becoming Prandelli, he favor his old players & scared to give new rising talent to play.

Berrardi & Insigne having a blast this season yet didnt get a call-up.

Bonaventura have been making impact (highest assist in serie A right now) yet he bench this guy in whole friendly.

hmm...i don't fancy Italy to do anything spectacular in next year Euro2016..esp with all those bland tactics and selection of players

btw, since Italy in Pot 2...its safe to say any group containing Italy would be the group of Death

1. Spain
2. Italy
3. Sweden
4. Turkey

or

1. France
2. Italy
3. Poland
4. Wales

or

1. Germany
2. Italy
3. Czech Rep
4. Ireland

bro, as for me, i cant live without serie a. thus, will still find my way to look for the live games. thus, android box has become my source, be it hdtv apps or kodi streaming. so far works well for me.

btw.... while astro subscribers were watching barca vs atl madrid last saturday on an SD channel, i was streaming hd content thru plexus kodi. rclxm9.gif
