A narrow victory... Maybe in the scoreline, but 25 shots on goal to 3 suggests it was an entirely one-sided affair.

QUOTE(SnoWFisH @ Jun 17 2014, 04:24 PM) We were playing with 10 man la...and Balotelli pretty much had to do a captain tsubasa thing and obviously its too much even for super mario. matteo damian looks good, he maybe will be the choice over Ignazio Abate...This time we're different...We brought more backup hahaha.... I'm not surprised if Sirigu plays all the way...I'm afraid with what happened to Buffon in WC 2010, it might hamper his confidence and decision making this year... And please...if Chiellio plays LB, play Bonucci with barzagli...Paletta was just.....too nervous... and de scigilio ? QUOTE And please...if Chiellio plays LB, play Bonucci with barzagli...Paletta was just.....too nervous... ahh it look like juve squad already for italy. hehehe |

QUOTE(Rocko @ Jun 20 2014, 03:05 PM) italy have to take good care of pirlo. maybe giving him a rest or sub him early is a good idea to keep him fresh for the latter stage without pirlo..will italy can perfome good?i think montolivo has similiar type of play with him, but he got last minute injury really a great loss |

QUOTE(hyzam1212 @ Jun 25 2014, 09:35 AM) so it sadly ended...if u dont take ur chances, u deserve to go out...the weather did play a role though...european team will struggle to go far...losing the 2nd game and if they indeed drawing the third game honestly is not champion-candidate performance...so euro 16 here we go then euro 2016 me dah rasa tua laa.. |

QUOTE(Chris Chew @ Jun 25 2014, 10:16 AM) Italy only has Verratti dribble well last night but injury force him out and sub by Thiago Motta. after uruguay scored, italy's players attack and pressing so hard but very vulnerable at defense since got 1 man red card..Unfortunately for Italy, the red card too harsh on Marchisio and conceded the Godin goal by corner 9 min from time is too tough for any team to climb back with a man down. Overall, they put in a good performance to control the possession and defense, the letdown was down to poor performance by Ballotelli, ineffective and carelessly yellow card for high challenge. Uruguay win marred by the Suarez incident. Hope he is going to be ban by FiFa. I hope this referee not going to referee for the quarter finals match onwards. Poor decison making on some occasions. i wonder why they dont pressing from fist half ? loll |

QUOTE(Chris Chew @ Jun 25 2014, 10:48 AM) Thats football bro. yes that red card It was poor strategy that paid the price. They know they lack of pace, so they dont attack from 1st half bcz they are more stronger in defense and held as high as 69% possession. They just need a draw and before Marchisio red card, Uruguay barely have the chances to have more shots and more creativity in the midfield battle. Ballotelli is the worst on the pitch, having himself regularly outside the box and unable to read most of the Pirlo and Verrati passes. The final third is too poor for them go out earlier. why aa? Italy on wc2002 also got red card for totti .. |

QUOTE(theprobe @ Jun 26 2014, 04:30 PM) As a Italy fan I have to admit that Italy deserves to go out after those lackluster performances. so what's wrong actually? overall? The problem now is who is available to be the next Italy manager. Those available ones are horrible to say the least: - Roberto Mancini (Was lucky to win the Serie A. Was rather lucky as well to win the BPL on goal differences considered the amount of top talent he had at his disposal. Is horrible at cup competitions) - Luciano Spaletti (Famous for inventing the strikerless aka false 9 formation while he was at AS Roma. Won some titles with Zenit. A manager who favours attacking play till defense is secondary to him. With him I am afraid Italy might score 3 concede 7. Remember AS Roma's 7-1 defeat at Old Trafford?) - Maximilliano Allegri (A horrible manager whom won a single Serie A with Milan. Comparing him to both Mancini and Spaletti will make the both of them look like Guardiola and Mourinho) - Fabio Capello (An ass whom declared before that he will not manage Italy. Clearly WAS a top manager. He is past it) - Antonio Conte / Carlo Ancelotti (not a chance in hell) - Fabio Cannavaro (A former player with 0 experience in management) Who? Who? all options are lousy with about 5-6 players from juve which won seria a title, but still cant perform in wc 2014? it's about prandelli's tactical that goes wrong? lack stamina/pace? but those red card shown to marchisio really |

QUOTE(Chris Chew @ Jun 27 2014, 03:19 PM) Roberto Baggio .... gilardino not even on the list eh? I prefer Christian Vieri compare to Luca Toni, where the latter is more luckier to have a such bunch of Totti, Del Piero, Pirlo, etc to supply him the goals in 2006. Pippo Izaghi is great, but same as Del Piero, the legendary who did not materialized in World Cup, not expected the WC 2006 triumph is largely a Del Piero contribution but Cannvaro, Buffon & co |
