well in short. there's good and bad in every single device. just go for what u want best. i'm just annoyed sometimes about both fanboys arguing over which is better..

yea, normal for tw4. not suit sgs, they design it for sgs2. why cant they just design it like launcher pro or htc sense that can fit almost all phone?
*
yes Fraggor's tw4 not suit with sgs coz it always freeze and reboot...
but coldflid already make a new tw4 port on Tweaky rom JVH RC2 Beta and i hope there is no freeze problem anymore..
just wait for stable Tweaky Rom coz i like tw4 and im really satisfied with this rom battery life...

btw, u can find out more --> Tweaky JVH RC2 Beta

If what we saw at Google I/O is any indication, Android’s next version will make iOS 5 look like a Fisher-Price OS. under PC-Freedom section...

Hi everyone, am thinking of getting this phone. Are you satisfied with it?
Or is there any better android phone?
*
Very much satisfied. But if you could save more, I'd suggest sgs II or htc sensation.

QUOTE(casper1 @ Jun 6 2011, 07:55 PM)
still not able to find how to root the official JV9 GB that installed from Kies... any help pls?
by the way, the phone is a lot MORE smoother now compared with last froyo
*
Fuguroot and speedmod can be used to root DXJV9.

I was on Airplane mode so its not running 2g/3g, no wifi etc.

I flash to Darky V10.1 and last night before I go to bed it was 18% left on Airplane mode.  This morning I wake up the phone is off with no bat left.  That is disappointing.

On Darky V9.5, i left my phone on Airplane mode for 2 days and it only consume 3% of the battery.  I guess froya is still better.
I posted the above yesterday regarding my phone consuming like 18% while on standby "airplane Mode".

Last night before I went to sleep I check I have 69% and this morning I wake up it got 68% left so only 1% used in 9 hrs.. That is more like it. Same Darky V10.1 firmware.

One other thing I notice is that LauncherPro is not very stable as it is causing a lot of hang and crash so I have switch to GoLauncher and so far no problem with hang or crash yet. In fact I like GoLauncher more as it has some iOS feel to it like the wiggly mode where I can rearrange my icon.

The other problem I need to solve is the GPS now. Do i need internet connection to speed up the GPS lock? I have no luck getting my GPS to work since I move to GB. Btw, I do not have internet or 3G where I am now so I cannot try it out.

I always like to think that imitation is the best form of flattery. There are some good things about iOS that I would like to see in Android, OK, to be honest there is only 1 thing I want - better power management. And Apple's iOS implementing stuff that Android has been having for ages speaks well of Google's vision for mobile. smile.gif

I would love to see Google implementing some sort of BB BIS-like solution for users, hell even make it a paid/subscription based solution. Imagine push notifications natively built into the OS! Everything real-time pushed via Google gateways, email, facebook, twitter, chat instead of having each of our apps make their own connections or poll the internet endlessly..  hmm.gif

Mine exists. That's for samsung rom only. You'd need to install apply like shootme.

Better power management can be achieved by full os hardware acceleration. That is built into IOS. the problem here is google has to make one and each manufacture has to follow google. Combined that with different cpu, gpu, and chipset, this made it hard.

Google is rich like? My bbm fanboi wondered why they don't have a server like bbm.

I don't think the Cell Standby problem is not with Darky only. I was on Juwe Smart Edition first and the same Cell Standby battery drain is there.

Odd, my #15 CM7 nightly has better battery life than yours. there must be some rogue apps causing battery drain.

I thought this cell standby drain problem in GB is caused by the "software update" which can be solved by deleting/freezing/rename of the 3 apks files inside /system/app folder? New one?

Mind sharing the link where you got the k15-t4-300hz speedmod? I did try DXJV9 but didn't like the lockscreen so flash to Darky.

Hopefully someone have an update to add more lockscreen.

Cheers
