How often do you boot up your phone to admire the S thing? If not very often, I'd suggest you consider it a minor annoyance only..

as long as u are still able to go to download mode or recovery mode, you are still safe

Hey guys, I'm a new galaxy s user. I need some help of what to do for my half bricked phone. It happen when i rebooted after connecting with KIES. It's stuck at the S logo and went blank. Is there anyway i could fix it without taking it back to the shop. Any help or explanation is highly appreciated.

thanks for the reply reehdus. i did try this and nothing happened. it's still stuck at the blank screen. now i'm still trying the odin method. i'm running on a stock 2.2 anyway. if you have other solutions do tell me. thanks again for the reply bro.

hmm i do not seem to have any laggy boot animation. i think that's because im' using the new bootloader.

and yeah responsiveness of tw4launcher, battery life is super good..
i'm only missing crt offscreen my unlock screen and overscroll glow only.
i guess somebody will do taht very soon!

yes, but that is only for deodexed rom. not stock rom.

there're downloads under 2 headings, one's With bootloader, the other's without. Make sure u download the one With bootloader, then u'll get 3 files, flash them accordingly. you don't have to tick "Phone Bootloader Update" since it's included in PDA, it'll be flashed anyway.

If u don't have recovery mode and laggy/corrupted boot animation, most likely u din have an updated bootloader

EDIT: if u don't have the updated bootloader, flash it over here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1047924. remember to tick "Phone Bootloader Update"

NOTE: It's not recommended to flash bootloader alone. some Gingerbread has different bootloaders. make sure the above is compatible wif ur GB. better to flash the whole rom.
