no, u can do ext4 using Voodoo hacked kernel too. here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=975349

    1: You need to have a copy of the files on /efs partition of the device, to do so then your device must be rooted, have busybox installed and have ADB installed on your PC, then execute the following in Command prompt:

        cd c:/your_ADB_directory_name/platform-tools (Use cd c:/your_ADB_directory_name/tools if you are using an older ADK versions)
        adb shell
        su
        cp -r /efs /sdcard/efs
        exit
        exit

    Move the copy of the efs folder from the internal sdcard to your PC and keep it safe, you never know when flashing, do it now if you haven't done that yet.

tat's to backup ur efs folder, if I'm not mistaken, u can use root explorer to copy the folder out to ur internal sd then keep it safe in ur pc. can anyone confirm whether using root explorer works??

If you haven't flashed your bootloaders yet to 2.3.3 (you were from Froyo), then you should flash this:

Edit:
When flashing bootloaders, be sure to tick "Update Bootloaders" in Odin, but be careful, any ter-yank your cable or suddenly PC no power or suddenly flashing failed then you have a bricked phone already.

sgs is really hard to brick. i flash so many times and fail for about 3 or 4 times due to careless still cant brick.

No la. I sent it back coz I am unable to use after flashing Gingerbread. My sob story is on 2 pages back I think. The GPS tweak is their complimentary service.
Mobile network is on but no sensor aiding. Still now my GPS is very accurate and fast.

For those with GPS problem I suggest you should take back to Samsung Service Center while you are still under warranty. I believe they can fix it and upgrade whatever there is an upgrade for you FREE. It took me 3 hours today for sent back and take back. Oh yes, no charge, even though I told the service center I flashed Ginger and it become like this. 

can my AP set do gps fix at samsung center?
