changing to 55 profile would be more comfort since more rubber to reduce NVH smile.gif

c drive 2 is purely comfort, ps3 offers performance as well, at a higher price of course smile.gif

Icic...any other recommendations that are silent & comfort type? Not into performance tho. Budget if can ard rm200

budget around rm200 is a lil low for ps3 i believe. even c drive 2 also more than rm200 per tire lol.

another alternative is continental's cc5. however from feedbacks i've gotten (never used it myself personally), grip seems to be a lil bad and tends to aquaplane.

ya I know its a bit low. well anything ard 200-250 is within range. Most important is comfort & silence. CDrive new is good but once used ard 30%, the noise becomes much louder.
I heard that abt the CC5 as well, so most likely will forego continental. the foreman keep on pushing hankook, but me think its not comfort type??? Im not sure hence would like more opinion.

which hankook is the foreman pushing? v12? thats directional iinm and directional and NVH are never good friends laugh.gif

if you want cheaper korean tires (as opposed to more expensive japanese ones), can opt for kumho instead (forgot which model, was ku31 iinm?).

c drive 2 for the most part, is comfort until you start whacking corners over 100km/h lol, then it will have some noise as the sidewalls didnt seem to have NVH reduction treading? if you're just cruising, no problem. (been using c drive 2 for around half a yea, clocking maybe 20-30k km+ iinm)

Would like to try new type or brand preferably, if not, most likely back to Cdrive 2.
the only complain I have against CDrive is the loudness once worn abt 30%. Other than that all good.
Im not sure which hankook but for sure is directional as he showed me the sample tyre, hence I'm skeptical abt it.
Prefer jap brands is possible. Korean brand....just dont have the confidence yet biggrin.gif

if you were using c drive, c drive 2 is very much different than the old c drive. both the compound used and treading design also different laugh.gif

oh it has a nice orange smell when your tires are new btw wink.gif

japanese brands, AFAIK bridgestone/yokohama/toyo are the more reputable ones, and in terms of comfort tires, i believe yokohama is in the lead smile.gif

Sifu, lately I notice my tire provide less grip (car failed to e-brake on time at few occasions). Upon checking the tire myself I notice the front left tire almost worn out, but the front right tire seem okay. Later today I'm gonna get the tire rotate.

I'm curious why the left tire worn out so fast as compare to the right? Could absorber, brake pad, braking system be the issue?

could be alignment/balancing out
absorber shouldn't affect that much, and you'd have other problems with absorber failing only 1 side such as cornering stability

braking system should not affect tires.

I just came back from the workshop they said my chamber out. Installed two screws each unit RM 55. Then they perform alignment RM 40. Total bill cost RM 152.

Is that price reasonable?

I also felt like it.
My frequent workshop is closed so I went to the Top Speed beside it.

Try to avoid cc5..it's my stock tyre and the grip limit is really very low. It starts screaming like hell too soon and it moves away from the intended line when you accelerate out of any corner apex...

I junked it after two sessions of spirited driving. Now driving ps3...tyre flex too much. Hate it. Though the grip is good. Think of it as "jack of all trades, master at none".

Now looking at RE002 or ku36

seriously? all ive been hearing are praises for ps3. the only downside i seem to find it that it's pricing, and albeit a little overrated'ness of it by LYNers

however for your 2nd statement, i suppose that is logical. although if that is the case, with the addition of pricing, makes one think twice about going for ps3 sweat.gif
